It may be the limescale suggestion - the door will now open but the mahcine is half filled with water. Will try and unblock but if you know of a noddy appraoch to doing this without taking the whole machine to bits, I would appreciate a suggestion. In the meantime, many thanks.

Hi there,

Well first of all take the filter out again and look in, you'll see the pump impeller. Turn this with a screwdriver, does it spin round or does it ping round in stages?
Check the drain hose where it attaches to the house drain. If it's a spigot under the sink, take it off and check both the spigot and the hose. While the hose is disconnected. Fill the appliance with water and pointing the hose into a bucket put it on a drain programme. See if you get good flow of water out of the hose. If you do, stop the machine, put the hose back onto the spigot and try again. If you don't, manually drain the water out and unplug the machine. You will need to take the drain pump out to check the hoses for blockages. Tip the machine rearward about 45 degrees and see if the base of the appliance is open or sealed.
If it's open, take the cover off below the front panel, release the filter housing and take it out the bottom of the appliance. Disconnect the hoses and check for blockages in them. Check inside the filter housing and pump ports for a coin or button. Reassemble the appliance and try again.
If you are in a hard water area and suffer from limescale it's possible the hoses are choked, you'll find out when you take it apart. Please post comments for more help or information........

Good Luck!!

Thanks

Bosch classixx 1200 lights flashing

The lights are indicating a fatal failure of the control board.
Try erasing the stored error code.
Turn the knob to off.
Close the door.
Turn the knob to 6 o'clock position.
Wait 2 seconds.
The start/pause should begin flashing. (don't worry if it doesn't, just continue)
Press and hold the spin button.
Turn the knob to 7 o'clock position.
Wait 2 seconds.
Release the button.
Turn the knob to off.
This should erase the error code.
It can store 5 errors so you may need to try this several times.
If it doesn't clear and the lights remain flashing, I'm afraid you need a new control board.
It's not possible to say if there is an underlying cause without testing the appliance with multimeter and megger. Hope this helps.

F21 has appeared on my Bosch classixx 6 1200 model

F21 normally indicates a fault with the motor or the main control board. It could be the motor brushes need changing.
If you've changed the brushes you now need to erase the stored errors and try the machine again.
.
Turn the knob to off.
Close the door.
Turn the knob to 6 o'clock position.
Wait 2 seconds.
The start/pause should begin flashing.
Press and hold the spin button. (the spin button is the one that changes the spin speed, it may be marked "RPM")
Turn the knob to 7 o'clock position.
Wait 2 seconds.
Release the button.
Turn the knob to off.
.
This should erase the error code and get you running again.
.
If the error code returns, you have a problem with the motor, wiring or main control.
If the machine won't go into diagnostics to erase the error code, it would suggest a faulty control board.
.
Try it several times to see if you get it reset.
.
Note, If the start button doesn't flash, just carry on trying to erase the codes.

Bosch classixx 1200 express lights flashing

Bosch 1200 classixx express washing machine. Upon switching on my machine, a little while later all of the lights on the control panel were flashing except the Start button. I tried to push the buttons but there was not the usual sound made upon depression of any of the buttons. They continued to flash. I switched the power off and cleaned out the pipes at the front of the machine to eliminate any obvious problems. Please help

Bosch classixx 1200 express spin light flashing water wont drain pump is running water draining very slow i checked for blockage none found help... thanks

Sounds like the blockage is closer to the drum, Tilt the machine as far back as you can to access underneath. Make sure to have a basin and remove the pipe going from the drain pump to the tub and see if anything is obstructing the pipe or stuck in the tub, is usually a sock. Hope this helps.

Bosch Classixx 1200 red wash light flashes but doesn't start

Could still be the water inlet valve. What you need to do is pull the washer out where you can get to the valve and the plug. Unplug the inlet valve and start the washer and when you start it as normal check the volts of the plug and see if its 110 if it is you know that the valve is getting power to open but not, replace the valve. If you dont get any voltage then it could be the relay or control board
