Water full but not recognized as full

It thinks that the water needs to be filled, but it is full. Tried turning it off, unplugging, etc., and it still thinks it is full. What do I do?

See if you can locate the water level sensor. if it is not obvious, it may be internal so needs a more invasive repair. If you are not in warranty, then try and locate it stuck to the side of the inlet water pipe.
It will either be a float type switch or a very light pressure switch..
Some makes are well supported for spare parts, but try the manufacturer first for spares as they may be cheaper than repair shops.

Water is coming in through the entry hose and running straight out the drain hose. No agitate, no spin, just constant water. Happened after I tried to wash three towels & got an imbalance alarm. R

Is the discharge hose higher than the machine? If it is Lower it will never fill. Don't think there is a shut off in the hose to stop the water discharge.

GE WWSE5200B1WW Top Load washer will not fill or agitate

Hi Scoti

I would start with water level pressure switch. It regulates how much water goes into washer and also stops overfilling..It may be defective and thinks washer is already full( hence no water and automatic drain spin) P#WH12X10093
Second thing to try is unplugging the washer for 15 min and letting all the voltage leave the control board. At this time you will reset the washer to default factory settings in case there was a computer glitch..

Good Luck

Fill watertank when it is full

Hi EsWorld, I'm having the same problem. Tried your solution, but no joy. Have taken tank on and off, cycled power, unplugged, etc., with no success. How does the machine know that the water tank need replenishing? Where is the sensor? Thanks!

Dishwasher does not fill with water

First (I know this sounds bad but it does happen)check to see the tap is turned on (I have had where the owner thinks the tap is on and asked if I am nuts turns out the cleaning lady switched it off) If so turn off the tap and remove the inlet hose from the machine, there should be a filter in the unit where the pipe screws on this is more than likely blocked if so clean and replace pipe etc check on the tap side sometimes there is one there aswell clean if dirty,if there is still no water then we need to go deeper, the pressure switch could be fualty or there may be water in the pressure tube wich will tell the timer that the machine is full etc,I would however suggest you check the above first if you do not come right let me know and we can then investigate further.

Water level sensor must be malfunctioning and possibly needs to be replaced and/or water inlet electric valve is malfunctioning (getting no "signal" from level sensor to stop filling). Turn of the machine, unplug it, turn off the water and call the repairman unless you'd like a flood or the fire in the house!

it just means that the pump needs primed. Turn on at the wall and on the machine, wait until screen says ready (make sure water tank full), then turn steam handle on RHS to on (do not push the steam button). the pump will prime until water comes out of the steam nozzle. now turn off the steam handle and you are ready to go!

Power lose

I have a 45 pint. I have to slide the bucket in and out of the unit multiple times. Make sure to wait a few seconds after each time to see if it will recognize no water (sometimes the red light comes on, but then changes it mind). Also, I've found that leaving the bucket a little crooked will make it respond. It sucks, I know. Mine is only a year old too. Should not be a problem like this!
