Sound Issue I have a F27440 that provides full sound when connected to my son's gamecube, but only minimal sound with only the TV cable box attached to it. What could be wrong?

Check the cable box volume. Most boxes allow you to adjust the volume from the box to the TV, and most likely it's gotten turned down. Use the "Volume" control on the cable box to bring the level back up. (Unless the box remote has been set up for RCA, it controls the box volume. Once you get the volume back up, follow the cable provider's instructions for setting the remote to control an RCA. Then the volume control will function correctly.)

No Sound from Fisher Box TV

I think your problem is with the scart socket . It most likely to be a dry joint on the pin where the sound goes in to the tv. you have to take back cover off the tv and turn the chassis over to do the dry joints if you can do it yourself otherwise get an engineer to do it. Good luck.

Philips tv troubleshooting no sound and stays on mono when connected to antena model no 27ps55s121

did you check in the set up might set to off, if the settings is ok check the speaker if worn out. now if the speaker is still good at this time you will need to have trouble shooting in the amplifier circuit at the main board weather the amplifier is bad.

The sound doesn't work on T.V. It does work on video or c.d.

This is problem due to the cable being loose on the back of the T.V. that connets your T.V. to the Cable Box providing your television service. If this does not correct the problem then try calling your service provider; it is often a problem with the connection between the BOX and the T.V. rather than a problem with the T.V. itself. If DVDs and CDs are working as well as the sound for these than it is definitely a problem with the BOX-T.V. connection.

Try removing the white cable from the T.V. and Cable Box and then re-connecting them slowly until the metal twisting connecter is on tight. Hope this helps.

If not, write back and I can walk you through another option.

I have same problem at first just had sound but no pic now only have sound for a minute when it turns on then nothing my tv was working fine shut it off one night turned on next day and the problem was...

Check and see if you have the sound settings to Stereo, and Audio to Main, not SAP.
Try the TV with a DVD player, does that work?
Are you using a cable TV box? Try the TV connected directly to cablevision. If that works, get a new cable box.

The TV may need a repair technician if the above tests don't work. Audio is generally not user serviceable without a lot of electronics skill, due to parts size and circuit complexity.

Sony KV36XBR450 - no sound

Hi!

Check for the cables to the cable box/reciever. What type of cable are you using for connection with the cable box(HDMI,RCA component cables)? Your tv is fine as it is working with the dvd player. The issue is with the cables connecting the cable box or from the cable company. Call them to get more information about this issue(maybe weak signals)

Please ask for further clarifications.

Please rate this solution as Fixya if found useful.

Thanks

Hissing sound from a Panasonic old TV...Sound and picture are OK. The hissing sound even continues when the MUTE on the Box is ON. The hissing only stops when the MUTE on the TV is ON. I am using the...

If you disconnect or power off the converter box does the hiss go away?
If you connect a VCR or DVD player does it still have the hiss? We
need to isolate what source is causing the hiss if it is from the set or
if it is from the converter box.
When you turn the volume control down on the set, does the hiss
reduce in level? If mute stops it, it should reduce in level as you
turn the volume down. Then turn up the sound level control on
the converter box whether its a manual control or by remote. If you
can get a combination that minimizes the hiss and gets higher sound
level from the programming that may cure it.
I am not familiar with the converter box you are using. Are you using
Audio/Video cables from it to the set or is it coming out with coaxial cable
and used on a channel? If you are using a very old set with a tuner input
perhaps the fine tuning is out of adjustment.

Sound is ridiculously low

if it is a stereo tv, there should be rca jacks on the back of the tv [red, white yellow] try connecting the rca outputs to a stereo system and see if the volume is any different.there might be a loose connection to the tv speakers inside.if you have a cable box hooked up to your tv, check the connections in back. you can also try bypassing the cable box by connecting the cable wire directly into the tv to see if it's the tv. if it is the cable box try unplugging it for a minute then hook it up again.i had the same problem with my cable box. hooking it up to a stereo system sounds like a pain, but at least you will have sound.
good luck
