Check the cable box volume. Most boxes allow you to adjust the volume from the box to the TV, and most likely it's gotten turned down. Use the "Volume" control on the cable box to bring the level back up. (Unless the box remote has been set up for RCA, it controls the box volume. Once you get the volume back up, follow the cable provider's instructions for setting the remote to control an RCA. Then the volume control will function correctly.)

Precision TV - PTV2548 no sound when your watching cable but there is sound forvideo input

may be the source itself(i.e. cable box) also check cables between cable box & TV. If you are connecting the DVD to the same input the cable box is installed, You know that input on the TV is OK. If you get no audio when the DVD is connected to the same input as cable box, then issue is the MAIN PCB.

My tv has no sound all of a sudden

Check the obvious first, such as whether the mute button is on or whether the volume is turned down. If that's not the issue, try the following:

1. Verify that all of the cables are firmly seated by reinserting each one. Loss of sound from bumping into equipment is common, especially if your TV is connected to a sound system. You need tight connections to hear the audio.

2. Make sure the cords are connected correctly. Some TVs have color-coded inputs that can be matched up with cable boxes and sound systems.

3. Try a new cable to see if that fixes the problem. Over time, cables can malfunction too.

4. Make sure the remote is set to 1) the proper video input (TV, satellite/cable) and the correct audio input.

5. Check all channels to make sure it's not a TV provider issue. You can also call your provider first and make sure the problem doesn't originate with them and not your TV.

6. If you have an external sound system, test another input such as a radio, CD player or game console.

There are sound gaps on my Insignia 22" Television... Whenever there is no hard sounds, the sound cuts off... Is there a way to fix this?

This either may be a cable connection issue or something to do with your provider. First off, is there any device you can use like a DVD player or game console? If the sound doesn't cut off then we know it's not your tv. Also, when you're watching TV, do you have a coaxial cable connected directly or are you using a cable box? If you're using a cable box try connected it cable direct by passing the cable box. If this still hasn't solved the issue you may want to contact your cable provider. You may be getting intermittent drops in your signal strength which could be from your coaxial cable, drop, or satellite

The home theater box performs the production of the sound generation. Also, the theater box, distributes the sound to any display devices like TVs, Music MIxers, DVDR, VCRs, ext. The theater box also has connection ports that are recognisable as receptacle area from speakers, woofers, and twitters that combined to form the home theater of devices acquired. First, start by connecting the component parts of the theater system to the box. For example, speakers to an area on the box, twitters, woofers. At which point, the box would require a power cable to an electrican circuit to display functionality mode. The next step is deciding on which display reciver would be providing sound to the theater setup of blasters. For example, choosing to acquire sound from a TV set is achieved by connection cables that derived sound out of the TV to the theater box. E.G. The TV audio output area provides the connectivity of any external audio blasters like with the theater setup. Using the appropiate audio input output connection cables to acquire sound transfer matters. The device may not have been provided with a TV audio input out cable of connections. Acquire from retail input output cables from TV to theater boxes. Remember that, the theater box may have come with a remote control that require separe operations than the TV. The theater system theraafter would require power on buttons if any separate remote controls were acquired as well. Also, the television set would require alteration settings with the remote control. Adjusting the TV sound settings to acquire or direct internal sound to an external setup infrusture is possible explanation also achievable with TV REMOte controller soon after every wireing cables have been established alos powered on to source of current. No sound when connected to my digtal cable box

have you tried to connect the red white and yellow av cords to another tv? if you have sound on another then its probably the tv you are trying to connect to for your son. If thats the case you could by an rf modulator which converts the red white and yellow to the coax connection in which case you'll have sound.
