There are any number of Toshibe motherboard sources on the Internet and if you are comfortable with E-Bay they had a number of M45 boards listed, looks like from about $190 and up. Did you post here in anticipation of someone having a board to sell you? If so E-Bay can handle that much better I would think since I'd have to be a seller with exactly what you want, happen upon your question and we make a deal. Could happen but not likely on a trouble shooting sight. Sorry wish I could help.

Where do I find the part number for the motherboard

Look near the memory slots. You will see labels. Also look all inside the board for labels. Write down the numbers you see on your motherboard. Then get on Ebay and look for motherboards for your laptop. The board on ebay will have model numbers on them, look for a number that matches what you wrote down.

Below is a link to the motherboards I found on eBay for Toshiba Satellite A100.

Hi,

Thanks for using fixya!

You have a serious problem there my friend. Once you flash the bios. Data is being written to the bios chip and the old data is being deleted. I have checked the motherboard details for Toshiba m35x series and found out that it doesn't have a backup bios available. Your laptop will not POST (power on, self test) because it doesn't have the right BIOS. You will need to bring your laptop to Toshiba and have the bios re flashed with the correct BIOS.

I hope you get this sorted out..
Have a great day.

I want to get a new mother board for my toshiba satellite A105-2001

for you laptop motherboard all you need is to give you supplier the model number of you laptop and they should be able to supply you with the exact, right motherboard because laptop of the same series will carry the same motherboard, the only difference might be the chipsets, but all your other hardware will be compatible to that motherboard. This is your model number you need: Toshiba Satellite A105-S2001

Toshiba Qosimo motherboard replacement

I don't belive you can very easely. Then again, you might, but never from any motherboard that escapes from the qosmio series laptop. Remeber you are contrained to the laptops chassis, not that much space, and the plug exits aren't changeable.
