Qca Spa pumps and blower will not come on, water down to 35º f

I have a 10 year old QCA Majestic series Spa. The water temp. is down to 35º. The keypad was alternating these messages "ECON, ICE, FLO, COOL" and the pump1, pump2 and blower lights were all on though none of them were running. The pressure switch on the heater was seeping water and when touched broke. I placed a jumper wire in place of the pressure switch and powered up the tub. The keypad then displayed "ECON, ICE, COOL" but not "FLO". The pumps and blower still did not come on though the lights were lit. After a minute or two the whole spa power down and now will not power up. The main breaker and the GFI are not tripped. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Ken

If you have FLO showing, the Heater will not function... Get the pressure Switch replaced... the the system will see the right pressure, and then turn on the heat...

You need to contact a hot tub technician/engineer as you clearly have issues.

'ICE' means that the water temperature is too low and therefore the pumps will be turned on to prevent freezing within the plumbing. Depending upon the spec and settings, the heater maybe disabled during 'ICE' condition.

'ECON' is Economy Mode. If you have a mode button, keep pressing it until you see 'Stan' on the display. This will put the system back into the standard mode.

'FLO' means that there's insufficient flow of water through the heater, or non at all. 1) Check the water level - top up if low. 2) Ensure that all jets are open and flow water - if they don't you may have a pump issue. 3) Remove the filter(s) and see whether or not this clears the fault, if so clean or replace the filters.

'COOL' is displaying because the set temperature is much higher than the current water temperature.

As I mentioned at the start, you really should get someone to take a look at your hot tub. You may have a few issues that need resolving.

Your best bet is to contact their fantastic support team and they will help you by phone.
Sounds like you may have an obstruction in the line or a problem with an inline component
such as the old-style wave motor (in spas that are about 10 years old or more). Sounds like
the pump is actually trying to work, so would not blame this problem on the pump until other components on that second pump line such as a possible wave valve are checked.

Hello! the pump on our qca majestic hot tub

If you live in cold weather and are not using it much lower your thermostat. If the freeze control kicks on (at about 38-40degrees) it will constantly try to heat the spa to where you have the heat set when the air temp is low. Hope this helps.

Filter for QCA Aruba xl

QCA has used 4 different sized filters in their tubs through the years.
  • c-4326 4-15/16" x 13-15/16" 25 sq ft
  • c-4950 4-15/16" x 13-15/16" 50 sq ft

  • c-5397 5-5/16" x 17-13/16" 80 sq ft
you will need to measure the inside height and diameter of housing and see which one will fit best.
