You can get parts for your Nokia N86 from Inovagent or other cell phone repair experts. You can get the part and install it yourself or an expert can install it for you.

Can't read any information in the window

hi,

Is your phone still works even w/o display?

there are several reasons why display disapprears.

1) probably your phone experience accidental impact and that causes lcd flex connector to get loose and causes no display.
2) defective or damaged flex connector.
3) defective lcd or open line connection to lcd.

You can fix it yourself if the problem is on no. 1 (loose connector). open your phone slowly (since delicate parts inside and remember its part placements) using screws driver and locate the lcd flex connector (usually behind the LCD) that connects the lcd to the main board. remove it slowly not to damage it and look for abnormalities, if none, then put it back securely and assemble your unit. then give it a try...

for problem 2 and 3. You can order flex or lcd at ebay and change it yourself. be sure it is the right type for your unit. for dismantling your unit be sure to remember the parts, how they are installed and how to put it back. Be patient and this requires a lot of time to disassemble.

Good Luck!

J700 white display,i have change the flex and display but same problem

hi,

is your phone still working even no display? i mean, does it still receive calls or messages?

if it does, then the problem is within the flex or lcd. be sure to change the good one cause sometimes you get a devective parts. if your sure the parts you just placed in are good, then most probably the problem is in the hardware, that is the video circuit or video ic and it is difficult to repair instead have it repair to technicians.

if your phone just displays a white screen and doesn't work, receive or make calls then it has a software problem and need to format it. have it reformat to your nearest service center instead of buying gadgets to format your phone. this save you $$$.

Hope this helps you.

1) probably your phone experience accidental impact and that causes lcd flex connector to get loose and causes no display.
2) defective or damaged flex connector.
3) defective lcd or open line connection to lcd.

I recommend not to open your phone since it is very tricky to open it and there's a great chance of damaging the LCD and also if your unit is still in warranty and if the warranty sticker is broken, your warranty is void. instead have it repaired to your phone dealer or provider and that saves you from trouble.

but if you really to gamble and give it a try (Don't do this if your not sure what your doing!), you can fix it yourself if the problem is on no. 1 (loose connector). open your phone slowly (since delicate parts inside and remember its part placements) using t6 or t7 screws and locate the lcd flex connector (usually behind the LCD) that connects the lcd to the main board. remove it slowly not to damage it and look for abnormalities, if none, then put it back securely and assemble your unit. then give it a try...

No display

What you have here is a LCD problem. LCD means Liquid, Crystal, and Display.
If it's a flip up phone, check if it is detachable and replace the flex, but if it is not detachable, you have to change the flex and LCD. If it is a LCD without flex, you have to use another LCD, it will then display.
But if after following all this instructions and the screen does not come up, then take the phone to a technician for proper repair.

DCR-HC32 LCD

Hi,
I also got the problem of LCD screen not displaying anything (HCR 21E). Since I am an electronics engineer, I opened it on this weeked. And saw that flex wire for LCD has two parts (a) part for touch screen (b) part for lcd display. And in my case part (b) is broken. I checked that part on Sony website and it costs 22 USD.
I am not sure, how much will they charge for repairing.
