Unplug it for a few hours. In the meantime, you will have to press the cycle/start button for a full 5 long seconds. Then wait half hour more, plug back in and try it again. This should reset the system.
You likely have the no drain symptom. Either because the drain hose is up to high or the drain or drain screen is clogged. An air leak will also cause this problem.

E4 code, you will likely have water in the bottom of the machine. You can tilt it at a 45 degree angle to remove the water.
E2 code is a drain pump error
Just about any E code is a drain/pump error meaning water is still in the machine. Either because the pump is faulty, loose, or broken, or or drain or drain screen is plugged, or the drain and bend in drain is to high for the water to travel up the pump.
Also if there is an air leak in the drain, the water won't pump out well either.

Kenwood KDW12ST3A dishwasher keeps bleeping and showing E4

Many owners manual list common error codes. I would check there first. If that doesn't work try repairclinic.com and access trouble shooting DIY help by model number for model specific information. Good luck.

Error E4

E4= paper jam. Check all your feed areas and make sure they are clear. Then reset your printer and begin you print again. If all areas are clear and your still getting an E4 reading you may have damaged a sensor clearing a previous paper jam. If a reset wont clear your error then your printer may need to be repaired. It would probably be cheaper to simply replace your old printer for a new one. Hope this helps Shannon

E4 error code comes up when you turn on dishwasher

Hello.

This code means an error code. That the
dishwasher electronic control has detected a condition it needs to check. When you see a code, follow these steps to solve the problem:
  • Press "Stop/Clear" to clear the display and stop the beeping if any.
  • Reprogram the dishwasher.
  • If the code still displays, turn off the power to the dishwasher at your breaker box and wait five minutes and clean all part (area) that are open to water carefully before turning it back on.
Thanks for using fixya.

Disherwash is showing e4 what does it mean

The E4 error is not usually associated with newer dishwashers. Older Kenmore dishwashers with digital displays would show an E4 error when the selector switch pads/buttons were stuck. You need someone In to look at it im afraid

E4 error after attempting to fill and get to temp

This is what I found for the E4 code...hope this helps...and thanks for rating my effort...The Fang.

Machine won't fill or won't fill high enough(LX18, LX30 display shows "E0," "E2," "E3," or "E4")

1.Low water pressure — check for clogged hose strainer; check that site water pressure meets minimum flow pressures.
2.Make sure probes are clean.
3.No water pressure — main water supply valves may not be working.
4.Drain valve open - turn machine off to drain machine, then on. Repeat twice (this assists in clearing any drain valve obstructions). Wait for machine to reach READY mode and press WASH. Slowly open door several seconds later and note water level. Close door; 30 seconds later, open door slowly and check that water level is the same as it was. If not, repeat the
OFF-ON procedure.
5. Delime machine.

I f you have warranty on this please call them, you have a defective D/W.Unless there is no charge for repairs ,don't spend a dollar on what is going to be a on going problem ahead. To explain how to fix this is what the manufacturer should have done in the factory and not made 1 dollar off of this defective D/W until it proved this to be ready .What has happened to Quality Control ? Does it no longer matter ? Very sorry ,you should seek a refund ASAP.

Kenwood Slimline Dishwasher KDW8ST2A

I have a Kenwood Kdw8st2a and have been constantly plagued by the E4 overfill error.

Lifting the front of the dishwasher and tilting it backwards seemed to clear the E4 error only for it to come back after the next wash.

I found eventually that the connection to the U bend under the sink was too narrow and was almost blocked hence the dishwasher was not emptying properly.

I disconnected the dishwasher waste pipe and ran the waste into a bucket for about 6 cycles and it worked fine.

Eventually drilled through the kitchen wall and fitted a lower direct waste pipe to the drain. Overkill maybe buit it hasn't done an E4 since.

I had E4. Initially couldn't get it to clear.

In desperation, switched it off, turned it on it side and drained it onto the floor.

The E4 disappeared and the dishwasher is working normally.
