Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

The Canon 540 EZ is a film camera flash, no doubt it might flash but possibly not at the right time.

What you need is a digital camera flash with the designation of EX

Wondering if you could take a delayed picture with a canon powershot A 540, would like to set it so I can get the whole family in the picture

Press the FUNC/SET button. Use up/down to select Drive Mode (the rectangle, third item from the top). Use left/right to select the desired delay and press FUNC/SET. Start the self-timer by pressing the shutter release button as usual.

Tutorial Dvd for the Canon A590is and 540

Greetings Claude...

After looking at some of the online websites for dvd tutorial's it seems that there is little there for what you are looking for and the 590 is so new there might not be anything yet...

My suggestion is look at the Canon forums online... they will have lots of answers and it's a good place to post your questions and get answers from fellow Canon users... also, Flickr and Photo.net are a great place to learn and post questions...

Is your canon powershot 540 not turning all of the sudden?

I had the same problem.I called Canon and thanks to their suggestion my camera now works.I was using the wrong type of batteries. The best ones to use are rec-chargeable or alkaline batteries specifically for digital devices.I bought the alkaline ones at Shoppers Drug Mart for $7 for two.Hope that works for you.
