Check between belt an deck for heavy wear. (coating worn off deck or belt unraveling) Decks can be flipped usually, worn belts should be replaced. If not check belt tension. Tension adjustment bolts are at rear end caps behind tail roller. If you can step on it and stop striding belt it very well may need a tension adjustment. Also would verify it is striding belt that is stopping. Motor drive belts can cause similar symptoms. {Check Manufacturer For Proper Belt/Deck Lube ie. Wax}

How do i slow down my 1920 1930 seth thomas matle clock. i tried slowing with the key but it doesnt slow down. it gains about an hour in every 12 hours

I wish I knew the name of the parts but here we go. On the swinging pendulum on your clock there should be a sliding weight on the bar. This will have a set screw or a thumb screw that you can loosen and slide the weight up and down to change the pace of the pendulum. Down is slower and up is faster.

When I get on treadmill it slows down andjust about shuts off. Im 265 pds, My wife gets on @ 160 pds the treadmill runs fine. I ADJUSTED THE BELT LOOSER AND IT STILL RUNS THE SAME. WHAT CAN I DO TO CORRECT...

Loose is not the answer. Proper lubrication and correct tension adjustment is the answer. I don't know how many HP the motor is for, but for 265 pds it should be at least 3HP.
Put the speed at about 3MpH and while walking, make a small jump on the belt to ensure that it is properly tensioned. Needless to say that the belt must be well lubricated. If you see that the belt tends to stop when you make the jump, turn both allen screws exactly the same amount clockwise. Half a turn might be enough. When you're satisfied and the belt doesn't seem to stop, give both allen screws another half turn clockwise.
All that as long as the treadmill is capable of handling your weight.

Precor c965i won't maintain speed the more weight on it

weel you must read the specification of your model, what is the maximun weight that is acceptable. However you must LUBE the deck belt with silicones or wax , read your owner manual for this, and execute inmediately.

God bless you

My treadmill work fine when i turn it on but when i step on it the blet. slows down to crawl.

What make/model is the treadmill? What speed does this behavior occur? Does the walking belt slip, while the motor and rollers continue to turn? If the walking belt is slipping then the motor belt needs to be tightened. If the walking belt slows with your weight on it, does this happen at 1-3 mph and still occur at 4-5 mph? It could be your body weight causing it to slowdown, try to increase the speed to 4 or 5 and see if it still happens. If so, is the treadmill rated for your body weight? Please be more specific.

Treadmill slows suddenly and when i step off it starts again. only happens to me.

hi it sounds like the belt is too loose, i had the same problem when the wife uses the treadmill works perfect, untill i step on it really slows down and once i step off it runs fine. so i tightened the belt just a fraction and now works fine. check your instruction manuel it will explain how to do this. normally its two screws at the backend of the roller. hope i have helped.

I am assembling the ProForm 705 Trainer Model PFTL70009.0. On page 11 of the manual, Step 10, it has me attaching the Crossbar with 4 #10 x 3/4" screws. The screws will just barely go into the tap...

You probably have a nswer by now (or have given up and bought other screws, but I have to tell you we just had this exact problem! We rubbed the screws on a bar of soap. then they screwed in just fine. Its still very tight, but they go in all the way.

We also first screwed them directly into the handrails without the crossbar on to make to make sure we could get the screws all the way in (as the drilled holes were not perfect). But I think the main trick is really the soap.

My treadmill will go normal speed set at until you start walking on it and then it slow way down. Why would it do that?

Try looking for a problem in the power.if that doesnt work,send it to a technician or if you had a warranty on it even better.
