Just need a converter download for my san disk e260MP3 player 4 GB. Lost the cd disk that came with the system and want to add mucis to the system from my new computer

No drivers needed for most computer operating systems. To view, add and remove files from the PMP283C-4, just plug it in to a PC using the USB data cable and look under My Computer for "MP3" or "Removable Disk".
The only software you might need is to convert videos to a format that the PMP283C-4 can use. It should have come with a cd that contains the media converter program. If not you can download it from philips here. I use a different one that I found by using Google and looking for SMV Convertor. After converting video transfer like any other file.

There are many programs out there that can convert and compress video files to work on Ipods, and other MP3 players, just search the nets for them.

Decided against buying the San Disk Sansa Clip because it does not appear to be Mac compatible. I do not like Windows applications as they always fail or cause other problems.

Use the Sansa Media Converter. If you don't have the SMC, you can get the Windows version from http://www.megaupload.com/?d=3IPZO6Q0

To download videos on the San Disk MP3 player. I downloaded the Converter Software at Sansa.com
Then followed instructions in San Disk MP3 player instruction booklet.
