I recently bought a Sabrent 6-Foot USB to DB25 Female Parallel Converter Adapter Printer Cable for my NEC Superscript 870. I connected it to my Dell Inspiron 530s running Vista. I tried to install the driver for the printer but could not find it. I followed the solution on this site and installed the driver for HP LaserJet 2P. But when trying to print the test page it gave me an error and didn't print. Any suggestions? I would appreciate it.

My NEC Superscript 870 is not compatible with Vista and the driver for an HP Laserjet IIP printer is not helping. Any suggestions?

If you load the printer drivers from a Windows XP install disk (in the i386 directory), that worked for me.
