Hi there,

Well first of all you can check Vent- Frequently there's an obstruction in the vent duct from the dryer to the outside of the house. For the dryer to heat properly, the duct must be clean and clear of lint or any other substance. then you can check the heating element
Your dryer's heating element may be partially burned out. If it is, your dryer still heats, but at such a low temperature that it takes three or four times as long to dry the clothes. If the element is partially burned out, replace it. Please post comments for more help or information........

Good Luck!!

Thanks

Clean dryer vents by removing and emptying the lint trap every time the dryer is used, vacuuming the lint trap with a vacuum extension hose and vacuuming the exhaust pipe.

How do I dismantle my Moffat dryer that has stopped working, showing no power and is full of lint throughout the dryer?

Get a drill and start at the rear/back of the dryer. Take all the 1/4" sheet metal screws out until the back comes off then go from there. Should be pretty easy with a drill or a power screwdriver.

I just moved into an apartment equipped with a stackable moffat MCCH6110HSS washer and moffat 350A4502P547 dryer. I've discovered that the washer appears to repeat the rinse/spin cycle over and over again...

HI, I spent many years in apartment maintenance and most communities have maintenace staff to fix issues you have with their equipment, call the leasing office. The most likely cause is a bad timer.

I have a GE washer/dryer Model WSM2700RAWWH stack type and the dryer is taking very long time to dry the clothes. Please advise if it can be fixed. If not what will be best alternate washer/dryer stack...

first things first. if any dryer regardless of brand takes 2-3 hours to dry cloths 90% of the time it is your exhaust duct. take the exhaust duct off the back of the dryer and dry some clothes if the clothes dry fast then you need to have your exhaust duct cleaned. either DIY or call a professional
if it still takes a long time to dry then it could be the thermostats or the thermistor.
but in my experience its normally the exhaust duct.

I need to replace the front seal on the drum of my Moffat dryer (model # RCKH315EHWW, and am wondering if that is something that I would be able to do myself? Or, how much can I expect in labour? I already...

The drum gasket is WE9M26. To install it, it is the biggest job compared to any dryer gasket of hundreds of dryers that I have worked on.

See RCKH315EH0WW at:
http://partsnet.geappliances.ca

In summary:
-Remove top
-Remove console (some plugs require a tiny screwdriver to pry off. Do not pull on the plugs too hard.)
-Unscrew front panel (some screws are on the front of the bottom panel. Do not remove yet)
-Remove both side panels (cut off zip ties)
-Remove front panel
-Remove air director (big white plastic part)
-Do NOT remove drum. The belt is too difficult to reinstall.
-Apply contact cement in the groove in the air director. Install new gasket.
-When reassembling, line up the duct with the rectangular groove in the air director.

Good luck and congrats if you succeed!

Your sensors are bad or at least need cleaning. Also check the sensor wires. They may have come loose.
Clean the sensors with alcohol.

How to resolve "PF" power failure on an lg WM3431HW Hello, I have an LG WM3431HW which is a combo washer/dryer. It is around 4-5 years old. It was working fine, then recently after completing the washing cycle and after a few minutes after the start of the dryer cycle. The dryer cycle shuts off without error (power to unit still on). We opened up the top and cleaned out all the lint caked on within the dryer duct and made sure lint trap off drain pump in front was cleaned. We started again and received a DHE error. We confirmed the dryer element was heating up fine. We also tested continuity to through the dryer thermostats and it had continuity. Also confirmed appropriate voltage over dryer element. We then took dryer duct fan off, turned it upside down and re-connected to make sure it was turning properly. It seemed to start and stop and it was also very hot so we thought there was a problem with the fan so we replaced the fan, and to be safe, also replaced the thermostat. Once that was done, a few seconds after the unit goes into the dry cycle, the cycle stops and shows a "PF" power failure error. We checked all connections we can find but everything looks connected correctly. We eye-balled the power board to see if there was any burn spots or anything else noticeable but nothing. We also eyeballed the power filter for the same but nothing looked out of the ordinary. The heating element was hot and confirmed the dryer fan duct was revolving, albeit for a short time. It seems that there is something tested after the heating element is started and the fan revolving, that is not working and which is telling the unit to shut off or "power failure". We had also unhooked the dryer thermistor to see if anything looked unusual but looked fine and re-connected. What else can I check and what part is likely to be at fault ? Since the wash cycle runs fine, I am hoping the power board is fine. Thanks
