Samsung HC-P4752W rear projection television

We were watching television and the screen started acting up. The brightness did not change, but it's like the screen "split" into two seperate pictures on top of each other that aren't aligned. For example, bad weather map has green map on top with red map under it offset a bit to the side.

I have used the self focus feature with no results. I tried the DVD and the picture is the same.

Please help!

The convergance amps have failed you need to have them replaced there are 2 of them and some resistors may be affected. the cost of this repair can reach $350.00 depending on the tech you get. this is the most common failure in rear projection TVs. the convergance amps work very hard and are bound to fail. they also have very large heat sinks to keep them cool. heat is the biggest enemy of transistorized ICs.

I have a samsung hc-p4752w and I'd like to find out where I can get an inexpensive blue picture tube.

The blue tube will cost $150-$200 from a Samsung parts distributor. Keep watching Ebay. Did you change the coolant by any chance? The coolant fogs really bad on the blue tube on this model and it looks like a bad CRT.

I think you have a fault on the chroma board and on the picture frame board. If you can trace it yourself try these two locations otherwise call out a competant technician. hope this helps.

Samsung HC-P4752W 47 in. Rear Projection bigscreen TV

You dont have to remove the aluminum heat sink. The ICs are attached with screws and then just unsolder the ICs from the circuit board and then replace the new ics into the pin hole locations after applying heat sink compound onto the back then screww the new ICs to the heat sinks then solder the pins. Very easy repair.

Not sure of the part number most use STK392-110 or 120s . You will need to look at the ics in your set they will have the IC numbers stamped on them they will have STKxxx-xxx whatever that number is thats the sanyo part number for those ICs
