Samsung RS2556SH - when power was restored after moving the fridge, the temperature control panel no longer worked. No power for any functions including temperature or ice maker. The only light on the panel is a flashing green dash above one of the temperature digits. When i plug it in It makes a clicking noise and then does nothing!

When i plug it in I get one clicking noise then another a few seconds later. After the second delayed click I dont ever here it again even if I leave it pluged in for an hour. The clicking noise is coming from the control panel on the freezer door and thats where i'm getting one green flashing light and no response from any of the buttons. All the interior lamps in the fridge and freezer side are working correctly. Does this sound like I should replace the motherboard? I get no sound out of the rear at all. Thanks alot for your help!

Reset your fridge by pushing the power freeze and power cool on your front panel hold down for a few seconds and everything should be restored. Same thing happened to us.

If you have a slow clicking noise, like the compressor is trying to start, replace the rtc overload contactor on the compressor body that supplies power to all the units functions, easily done by accessing the compressor in the lower rear area unplug the unit and then unplug the rtc contactor from the compressor, otherwise if you have recently had light in this models refrigerator compartment burn out and the clicking is rapid like chattering and the temp controls are out besides the lights in the refrigerators compartments are dimly flashing/strobing, then you need to replace the motherboard also located in a rear compartment in the rear also as the relays are trying to latch and can't due to a circuit board damage from lights burning out and putting a surge into this motherboard and burning the circuits trace side

i would still try removing the motherboard and checking the trace on the printed circuit board and see if there is any evidence of a damaged area on this board, also,is the compressor warn to the touch at all? if not it still be the rtc overload on the compressor,it doesn't cost you anything to look at these before you purchase the parts

Hey my Samsung cooltech plus is making beeping noises fridge temperature is jumping from one temperature to another while the beeping noise is going on. Can anyone please help me thank you

Fridge keeps beeping or buzzing: The following is for Frigidaire models but others can be addressed similarly.

Several Frigidaire refrigerator models have an electronic control panel on the freezer door the owner can use to adjust the internal temperature, dispense ice and water and receive notification about issues such as the need to replace a water filter. The refrigerators also emit a beep for various actions and as an occasional alarm. Determining what causes the beeps necessitates some troubleshooting.
Temperature Controls ·A Frigidaire refrigerator's display panel blinks when the control panel is touched to set temperature controls. After pressing "Freezer Temp" or "Refrigerator Temp" on the keypad, press the arrow buttons within five seconds to increase or decrease the desired temperature. If you do not press the arrow buttons within five seconds after pressing "Freezer Temp" or "Refrigerator Temp" on the keypad, the refrigerator beeps to indicate the current setting will stay in place.

Door Open ·When you leave the refrigerator or freezer door open, the refrigerator beeps. Also, the "Door Ajar" indicator illuminates on the appliance's display panel. Shutting the door and pressing "Alarm Reset" stops the beeping and turns off the "Door Ajar" indicator light.
·The Frigidaire refrigerator has a control lock feature that prevents use of its control panel or dispensers when the unit is locked. When the control lock is active, a beep sounds when a keypad or dispenser is pressed. Release the control lock by pressing the "Control Lock" icon for three seconds. A beep will sound, and the icon's light will go out.
Power Reset ·A power reset is occasionally necessary if the Frigidaire refrigerator's control panel does not work normally or a reset function on the keypad does not work. A power reset involves disconnecting power to the refrigerator by unplugging its power cord from the electrical outlet, waiting 30 seconds and plugging the power cord back into the electrical outlet. When the control panel resets, a beep sounds. If the refrigerator beeps even after a power reset and the beeps' source is not known, contact Frigidaire.

Samsung rb215abbp won't stop beeping. I recently switched the door from the right side to the left. Now my fridge says 66 degrees but is cold. Light is on only when I unplug and plug it back in.

My fridge keeps beeping even though the door is shut. The fridge temperature indicator keeps going up and then down. Can you please tell me what's wrong?

If the reset procedures don't stop the beeping and you are out of warranty, here is an easy fix:
1- (You can unplug the fridge just to be cautious, but not necessary.) Remove the control panel from the front of the fridge. Mine pulls straight out without removing any screws.
2- On the back of the control panel is a black, round device - the only thing that pokes through the back of the panel. This device is small, maybe 1/2" in diameter and the same deep. (if it won't pop off easily, remove the 4 screws to remove the back cover for easier access.)
3- You will see a thin round disk inside. This is the speaker. Remove this disk, press the black speaker cover back on and press the control panel back into the front of the fridge.

All the controls will continue to work as before, but NO BEEPS!
Yea!

Samsung twin door fridge water leaking onto floor

I have a Samsung side by side - model RS253BAWW.

Water was leaking onto floor from main refrigerator, not freezer. It was determined to be a blocked defrost drain.

The repair technician removed the trays and food from fridge, remove the screws from the panel at back, disconnected everything and remove panel.
The stainless tray at bottom of fridge as well as panel itself had solid ice blockage.

He placed panel in sink and used something similar to a blow dryer with narrow hose on it to defrost both the panel and drain in fridge. Took him maybe 15 minutes and charged $99 total for the visit.

In future I will do this myself now that I know how but thought it may be useful information to others who are having similar problems.

I found my leak, after checking all lines, connectors, couplers, behind the second to bottom drawer from what appears to be a cooling resevoir. It appears the seams are slightly leaking on both sides. I found water pooling under the bottom drawer and then leaking out the front and followed it back. My Samsung is model RS2556SH

Samsung RS2556 - Refrigerator side is not cooling - Freezer is fine

Ok, what I found out is that there are codes built into the front panel. If you hold the top left and right buttons for 5 seconds, the fridge will reset. If there are no issues, the panel goes blank. If there is a dash in the right side of the panel, there is an issue with the fridge side. In the left, freezer side. The dash indicates a defrost problem. Only a couple of things can cause this. 1. Sensor 2. Heater 3. Fan, 4. control board.

Samsung french door fridge not working?

I had the same problem ("OF" on display and not working) and just found a fix and it worked (on SAMSUNG site). It was correctly stated that fridge is in "demo" mode. You need to push and hold POWER FREEZE and ENERGY SAVER buttons (not "Fridge button and the Power Cool buttons" as it was suggested above).
