Hi I have a similar problem with my Acer Aspire 5670. Most of the times it starts up extremely slow, far beyond what is usable. If I then go into (it takes a while = coffee break) Task Manager - Performance processor 1 is 100% busy and processor 2 is idling. It stays so for at least hours. I have tried booting up in safe mode and in Device Manager shut down anything not absolutely necessary and reboot normally. Still the same problem. If I keed on trying, just of a sudden it starts up OK, both processors work and everything seems fine.
