Have a Samsung LT-P227W that all of a sudden went off and will not turn on back, if you disconnet it from the wall for 30 seconds and reconnect it turns on for a second and immediately goes back off. Seems like its locked. Any advise?
-   I have samsung LT-P227W TFT-LCD Television. My TV will not come on when the power button is depressed. However, when I unplug from the wall, wait, and plug it back in, the red indicator light on the front blinks twice, the tone chimes upward (as it does everytime it powers up), the screen flashes a dim light then goes black. I select diffent video modes and the menu but the screen remains black. Any suggestions?-   vrodder
BY UNPLUGGING YOU RESET THE TV. SOUNDS LIKE IT IS GOING INTO A PROTECT MODE IF THE STNDBY LIGHT IN FRONT IS NOT FLASHING ITS PROBABLY A POWER SUPPLY PROBLEM IF IT IS COUNT HOW MANY FLASHES THAT WILL BE AN ERROR CODE
This TV will go into "sleep" mode. Make sure it is receiving a signal or it will go black. If you hit the menu key when it powers up the display should stay on menu while you attempt to secure a signal from another source.
Does anyone know how turn turn off the annoying and loud power up and down chimes?

I have a panasonic plasma th46pz80u. Last week it began to not start and I was getting 4or 5 flash on the led light next to on switch. If i unplugged the tv and plugged it back in it would be fine for a few days. After calling Panasonic we diconnected everything and plugged the tv back in. Now I get 10 flashes and the tv won't turn on at all. Any ideas????

About a month ago this four year old television began switching to composite video every time we turn it on. I want it on component video, this is the only input we use, and has been for four years. There is no "default input" selection in the menus. I dont understand how anything could have changed. The television used to be set to component video every time we turned it on and now we have to switch from composite to component every time we turn it on. Really ANNOYING!
