Question about Yamaha RX-V463 Receiver
Have you tried a different remote or universal remote. Universal remotes do sometimes work on these units. If you have tried this and it still doesn't work, then the IR sensor is bad. For the sub, you can take an ohmmeter, place it in the ohm setting, then test the sub output jack and see if there is any reading. If not, then there is a bad internal capacitor. If you do get a reading, then there is likely a short or bad wire in the sub itself.
