You may have to inspect all the pulleys inline to the cable that is giving added resistance.
These pulleys are not top quality and do fail often thats why IconFitness sell these pulleys by the bag and not indivually.
Go to iconservice.com go to replacement parts input manufacturer then this M# 15982
The best source I can recommend is that you contact Weider Fitness and see if they such material. Since it was design to compete with the Blow Flex and they have basic exercise movements that both utilize. I have seen some Video off of YouTube even though they are 3 to 5 minutes in length it will give you a starting point.
Check all pulleys to make sure that they did not jam themselves in the frame or pulley mount and see if the weight stack itself has not jammed into any cable ports secure I mean secure!!! wooden blocks to keep the weight stack from coming down and possibly injuring you or someone that is helping you figure out whether the cable or pulleys are bound up.
This is a common problem with this machine, the wiring inside the back. Mine was broken too, it was just a loose wire, but the stupid wire is so inside a protective case, you have to take the whole machine apart to be able to reach it.
You'll need a technician to come to your home. Call Icon to get a reference.
I had the same problem. Take off the black box at the base and check to see if any of the wires broke lose from the connectors, mine did.
One pair of wires was alot shorter than the rest, so when the previous owner disassembled the crossbow he lifted the unit too far before disconnecting the wire connectors thus braking the two wires from the connector.
Simply remove the remaining wire bits from the connector with something sharp (unplug machine from the wall). Then take the broken wires and push them down into the connector terminals with a butter knife. The terminals will cut through the wire insulation and make a contact with the wire. Problem solved.
There is a wire that Breaks that is attached to a limit switch that is located inside the elbow of the Pivot arm. If looking from the Back of the Machine, it is on the RIGHT side. I extended the wire an rerouted it to run on the outside of the pivot arm to avoid be nicked or pinced by the moving parts.
