What does FanChck mean on my samsung HT-Z320? How to I fix it?

I had the same problem with my Samsung HT-BD1250. In my case the fan did not run at any time! As a safety precaution, to prevent overheating, when the fan is malfunctioning the receiver powers off. I simply opened up the receiver and discovered that the fan was not even connected! I just plugged it in and.....Voila! Works like a charm. Be warned though that if your unit is still under warranty, opening it up will likely void the warranty.

    Mine is the same. It wont turn on, i took it apart and checked to see if everything is in right and it was but still wont work (there is a flashing light on the top of my blue ray player).

Have a samsung HT-Z320 home theater system and a Sanyo 42 in flat screen tv. the sound from the samsung plays if I put in a DVD but not when i switch to the regular TV. why

HT-Z320 displays PROT code and then shuts down
i had the same problem a prot display then it would shut down. turns out i had the sub disconnected(noise complaint from the shaking at my apartment complex) but the speaker wires for the sub connected to the amp or central unit. when i disconnected the sub i left the wires on the floor behind the sub separating the pos. and neg. somehow the wires got moved around and the pos was touching the neg. as soon as i noticed and fixed this problem the system was working fine. my samsung hometheater model is HT-BD1250

I just hooked up my HT-Z320 today. I had to use an optical audio cable to connect the audio output from my TV to the optical audio input in the samsung receiver (it's the only optical jack on the receiver). Then with your samsung remote in DVD/Receiver mode, click the Auxiliary button (near the top right of the remote). Hope this helps.
