SOURCE: Vertical red lines on screen
There are 2 types of lines they may be showing, both requiring the replacement of the LCD Panel.
1. Delamination Lines- they are usually multiple vertical lines that do NOT flow from the top to bottom of the screen. Looks look water dripped down or something similar
2. Single/Multiple Vertical lines - This is normally 1 or maybe a few solid vertical lines that travel from Top to bottom. I belive in some cases they may only travel to the screen center.
In both cases, this will always show when the TV is ON. Even if there is no signal being input to the TV. There are other possibilities but these can be the most common. Both require a new panel.

A good chance your upper buffer board connectors need cleaning. That board will correspond where the lines are. It's at the top of the set.
