Question about Coffee Makers & Espresso Machines

Water/coffee trickling very slow into cup

Pump seems to be labouring with water coming through filter very slowly. Filters have been cleaned and we are not in an area of scale build up. Any ideas please? Plenty of pressure in steamer.

I do not know what model or make you have but it sounds like the problem is inline after the pump, check the grind and tamp if semi machine, if auto then it is being blocked either the brew unit screen and output tube or the grind, it is also possible that there is buildup just after the pump, try descaling the machine.

I have had this happen when I used non bunn filters . perhaps they non bunn are too small thereby letting the water run over the top My bunn takes 3 minutes when it's clean to brew 12 cups .

Why does my Bunn coffeemaker spill over the filters when I use Bunn Filters.

I purchased a special flow restrictor sprayhead from BunnAtHome.com because I use decaf coffee. Also if you use a finer grind then you need this to slow the water so it doesn't overflow.

No water coming down to cups

Assuming that you are certain that there is no scale blocking the brew head and that the pump is running normally, try making a cup with no filter cup installed into the filter handle (obviously with no coffee grounds either) but with the handle installed into the machine

If water now flows, your problem is a blocked filter in the floor of the filter cup, and the easiest and most reliable way to fix that is to purchase a replacement filter cup :o)

Check also that the filter handle's outlet holes are not blocked. The tar like gunk that builds up in the filters and handles can be quite hard to remove

My washer seems is filling very slowly, and doesn't empty all the water out of the tub. I tried both temperature settings and it doesn't seem to matter. It will fluctuate back and forth on how fast it...

regarding your filling problem , most washers have small screen filters at the water intake, take your hot and cold hoses of of your machine and observe the fittings on the machine you will likely find the filters there they are just a mesh screen, remove them and clean , then reassemble this should solve your slow filling problem

What is the best way to remove lime scale and other mineral build up from a Bunn VPR coffee maker? Water flow has been reduced to a trickle even though we used filtered water.

I always use CLR to clean my coffee maker. You don't need much more than 1/4 cup and mix with 8 cups of water and brew it like you would make a pot of coffee, then dump it out and run 2-3 more pots of just water, that should work fine. Also, run vinegar thru the machine once in awhile to help keep it clean

Slow brew time / water disappears?

I have this problem with a 4 cup model. 4 cups in, 2 cups out. I cleaned it twice with vinegar (with a filter in place). The first time didn't seem to help, but the second time I got about 2.5 cups out, along with a bunch of old grounds that I think had been sucked into the pump. Ran water through it twice, and now it gets to about 3 cups.

I think the problem is just that the pump is clogged with grounds. If vinegar makes yours worse my guess is that a big piece got dislodged and is now blocking the tube. More vinegar might help.

Cannot express the coffee into the cups

Solution nr one cold be the machine ran out of water and the circuit need to be filled up again.
This is the procedure to do that

Fill up your water tank
Open the steam knob na push the coffe button...in that way the water will be forced to go to the steamer. If you have water in the steamer like you asking for hot water....go to the next step
Close the steam knob and at that point you will hear a different noise and the watewr should be able to go direct into the boiler and start dripping like it was before.
if you don`t have hot water coming oput from the steamer....the problem is before the boiler and could be a clog on the silicon tube or the water pump is loosing friction..

Pls don`t forget to rate your experience

Leaky Tassemo coffee maker

i think it's supposed to do that. the cup at the base is supposed to be catching all the water that the tassimo is 'leaking'. it should be dumped after every cup of tea/coffee. if you have taller cups, and do not use the cup base that comes with the machine in order to fit the taller cups under where the tea/coffee comes out, then you are right. it seems like it's 'leaking' because it is. there should be enough room in the base for one cup, but then it can also be removed so as to dump the excess water out after the cup is made. hope this helps!
