XLo burners keeping clicking but don't light after the initial lighting

Electronic igniters go bad and they don't work well if wet. Make sure yours are dry and change it if it still doesn't work. If the burner lights with a match, gas is getting to the burner. If it doesn't light, have the line checked for a blockage.

Will not light

Have you removed the burners covers and top to see if the PILOT LIGHTS may have blown out? Hold a stick match or fireplace match (long stick) down in the area of the circular burner after turning on some gas. The burner should light and the pilot light should stay on as well. You local gas company provides service for this type of problem. Call them and have a gas company representative make a home call (free service) in most areas.

We have a thermador 5 burner gas range top and the pilot light seems to have gone out. The burners don't go on but we smell gas. How do we re-light it?

Most gas range tops no longer have pilot lights but use an electronic ignition (sparker) to light the burner. Normally when you turn the burner on you should here a snapping or sparking sound, at which point the burner should ignite. Here is a link to the user manual for 36" - 5 burner Thermador rangetop...maybe this will help: http://dl.owneriq.net/a/ac64ae7b-1ed3-44a3-9235-e4dbd8fe4628.pdf

By the way, in the short term you could always use a match to light the burner. JUST BE VERY CAREFUL THE YOU HAVE THE MATCH LIT AND OVER THE DESIRED BURNER BEFORE YOU TURN KNOB TO START THE BURNER!!!!

Eye won't light - clicks when turned on but no gas is coming out on one of the five eyes.

Hold a match to the burner in question and see if it lights.
That will verify if it is a valve problem or a ignitor problem.
If it lites with a match the burner electrode needs cleaning or repair or adjustment.

Burner not lighting

Yes, you need a technician. It could be spark module or spark igniters on each burner.

One burner requires a match to light

had same problem. Used fine sandpaper on the little head (just above the white ceramic) that creates the spark. over the years the edges of the littel metal ring had gummed up but a 1 min sanding got it down to shinny metal and it sparked nicely.

High performance burner slow to light

Replace that ignitor on that burner only. Not drawing enough amps to spark properly.
