    aborcass,

Good call!! The boot was torn right next to the drain hole. I used another fixya posting to guide me thru the removal and re-installation of the new boot. I would recomend the Maytag boot over the after market boot. Saved me some money!! I am passing the link to your website to all of friends that like to "try" to fix there own stuff.

I noticed water swooshing in between the drum of Neptune washer model mah5500bww and I want to know if that's normal or not?
Please let me know if this is why they were recalled and does it cause mold and stinky water?

Here is the solution I found that worked for me, there is a small drain hole at the bottom of the boot that is connected to a drain hose. Remove the hose and clean out to make sure that it has not become plagged. replace hose and reattach boot. Mine stoped leaking imediately.

I have a Maytag Neptune Model #MAH5500BWW, and it leaks water only while it's filling. It's almost like it would rather fill my floor than the tub. When I start a spin only cycle to get the water...

Sounds like a leak either in the bottom, connector or water valve for your water inlet line. Visually finding the leak is your best bet, then you know what parts are to be replaced.

I have a maytag neptune MAH5500BWW. Everytime the water company shuts off the water to repair a leak, the tub fills with water, sometimes overflows onto the floor. Works just fine when there is pressure...

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
This is symptomatic of a malfunctioning water control valve- depending on whether it is hot or cold water with which the tub fills.
Sorry but it needs replacing and a service call ;-0(
Good luck,

Very loud spin cycle

The link below, courtesy of www.repairclinic.com, shows that the rear bearing comes with the outer tub only and is very pricey! I have been unable to find a service agency that offers just the bearing. Very aggravating. www.maytag.com would be a good place to define your issue.

Bleach wont drain during washing

You may have a clog on that side where the water comes into it, or the dispenser valve is not opening that side.

There is a service sheet inside the bottom of that front lower access panel on the right side wall, you can go through the diagnostics to test the water flow to that side of the tray.

Water leaks from weap hole in bottom of the plastic housing

The Maytag's have always had problems with those front door boots leaking and not draining thus leaving a bad mildew smell. What the problem probably is is that the hose that connects to the weap hole is cracked and needs replacing. I would suggest just replacing the entire boot along with the hose. The boot is a pain to replace though, it might take a tech to get it done for you. Let me know if you have any other questions and let me know if this information was helpful. Good luck.
