I don't know weather Intel D845GVSR motherboard supports 2 GB RAM in one slot or 2*1 GB rams on 2 Slots

The Intel D102GGC2 uses a Dual Channel Memory Architecture meaning that both slots need to be running at the same speeds. I would suggest getting another 667 MHz RAM card and installing it along side your current one, just as I reminder this motherboard only supports 2GB RAM Max so don't get one that is above 1GB.

Yes U can use maximum 2GB RAM in ur motherboard...

DDR2 will not work on this board. The most you can get is DDR333 Double sided 1024. Your board has two DDR slots, you can go up to 2 gigs of memory from the info on intels web support.
