Stuck dvd in dvd player

try holding the player upside down (level) when someone presses eject button (powered up of course)

It sounds like your problem isn't the dvd is stuck, since it seems to be spinning up, it sounds more like your ejection system has stopped working for some reason.
To fix either you are going to have to remove the outside case of the dvd player and expose the internal chassis. There are anywhere from 4 to 8 screws holding it on on the bottom and back of the unit, Make sure the dvd player is unplugged before you remove the cover.
Once you have the cover off, if the dvd is simply stuck, you should be able to see what the issue is; is it misaligned in the housing was it inserted incorrectly, are there in fact 2 dvds in the player, etc, etc. Gently remove the dvd and replace the case and enjoy.
If you can't see any reason for it to be stuck it may be the ejection system. The eject system will have a belt and sprocket system to move the tray or push out the dvd depending on the player. Make sure the belt is on the wheels correctly and that the sprockets mesh properly. If you can't see anything wrong try testing the ejection system with the case off.
Make sure you don't have any objects in or touching the dvd player, you don't want to short out any of the components if a screw fell into the dvd player onto the mother board, etc. Plug the dvd player back in, make sure you don't touch the inside and try to eject the dvd. Watch the ejection system and you should be able to figure out what is going wrong. Once you have figured it out unplug the unit and put the items back together. If you can see that something is broken then you will have to determine if you can have it fixed or if it wouldn't be cheaper to simply ditch that unit and purchase a new one.

It not the disc, it won't take a disc ...... if I go to put one in it Makes noise but won't actually take the disc. Would this be the loading gear and can it be fixed or?

It sounds like you have 2 disks stuck in there. TV repair shop, or try shaking the dvd player lightly while dvd is trying to open. You may need to help open the door, but too much effort could cause harm.

If you can get to the back of the DVD player itself, you can try and kill the power to it and hook it back up. Sometimes, the software gets stuck when its not powered down correctly.

If you cant get to it, try disconnecting your battery, waiting about 30 seconds and then hook the battery back up.

There is nothing you can do with this problem unless you are able to repair DVD players, the loading mechanism of any DVD player is very complicated, chances are a small part has broken. Call the dealer and ask for the phone # of the repair center they use, call them for an estimate, don't go through the dealer, they will double the repair bill from the radio shop.
