Question about Nikon D80 Digital Camera with 18-135mm Lens

Open Question

In my D80 appear Err r06. I tried change the lens, battery and memory card and the problem still

Is this somehow keeping you from using the camera?

The r06 normally is not an error condition. It is merely telling you how many more pictures you can shoot in the current burst before the buffer fills up and the camera has to pause to flush the buffer to the memory card.

SOURCE: err message appears on the display of my D80.

This may be due to the aperture ring in your lens. Try the following:

1. Turn off your camera
2. Move the aperture ring clockwise then lock
3. Turn on your camera and try again.

If this does not work, do the same thing again but turn the aperture ring counter-clockwise.

Err 99 shooting is not possible i have changed the battery pack installed a new lens also removed the cf card but still the err is coming wot should i do

Welcome to Fixya
Err 99 could mean several different things, such as... Memory Card, Lens or Lens contacts....

Here's what you can try:
Remove the memory card an enable "shooting with out memory card" and see if you still get the error. If it works your memory card is bad. Try another lens if you can. Clean the lens contacts with a pencil eraser (be careful not to get eraser dust in the camera body or in the lens). Worst case scenario is, Err 99 could be related to the shutter failing which would mean a trip to Canon.

Thanks

'err' sign on display nikkon D80, and appear r 15 when shutter button is press

"rXX" is just the camera estimate of how many pictures left on memory card. As for "ERR": while camera is in "On" position, take out battery and hold shutter button approximately 30 seconds. Turn camera "off, replace battery and turn "On" again. If thre is a hardware reset button (check manual carefully) while camera is "On" use that reset button/

I've given up trying to remove the "err" message from my D80 . I've done everything that was suggested ! removed the lens , cleaned the lens contacts , removed the battery and added a new...

"ERR" is camera error. Two items to try:1/ remove battery while camera is ON while waiting for approx 30 seconds, press and hold the shutter release, insert battery and give it a go. 2/ if there is a camera hardware reset button try that with camera ON. There may be a firmware update on Nikon web site, but if you cannot read the memory card, you cannot install it.

As far as I can read in the manual there is not any error code r05 and r06. My guess is you are seeing that in the LCD on top of the camera. Turn to page 36 in the D80 manual there you is what you are after. The r05 and r06 are the number of shots remaining in the buffer.

My d80 keeps reading error, i have tried adjusting lense and changing memory cards, don't know what else to try

What is the error message? If it is ERR then ERR message is not a good thing. Read page 132 of the D80 Manual. Also, try a factory reset found on page 129 of the manual. On the left side of the camera is the terminal cover, inside below the USB connector is the reset switch. If that does not work then it will need to go call Nikon digital 1-800-645-6689.

From a glance, it looks like the message is trying to tell you that you are shooting and storing the images on the internal buffer, not on a memory card. I'd removed and re-set your CF/SD card and maybe even try another card if possible.
A last resort may be to attach the camera to a computer and see if the images will be stored on the computer when you shoot. I used to do this with a D100 at work, but couldn't tell you how...a search would probably tell you how...use 'tether' and your camera model.
Good luck!

Nikon D90 ERR message after taking picture -

Is there a memory card in the camera?

Also try cleaning the contacts on the lens (light rub with a pencil eraser works).
