My N79 keeps losing its coverage...the coverage bar keeps fluctuating. This is the first time it's happening since I got the phone almost 10 months ago.

If you're out of the country for less than six months, there isn't likely to be any change on your life insurance policy but that still depends on your insurance provider. It's always best to check with them regarding what counts as 'short vacations' and 'holidays' outside the country. The country you're visiting may also affect your terms and coverage especially if you decide to stay in that country for more than six months. In that case, your life insurance in UK may lose its validity.
According to data from the United Nations in 2017, more than 4.5 million UK citizens live abroad. Top destinations include Australia, Canada, USA, and New Zealand. Each year the number of Brits choosing to live overseas or leave the UK for extended periods of time increases and with that comes the discussion of what happens to a citizen's life insurance when he or she decides to leave the country for good or for a really long time. To be sure, get counsel from experts in traveler's insurance and life coverage for UK citizens migrating overseas. If you still don't have insurance, make the most of comparison tools and guidelines in finding the best coverage for you.
If you haven't set a lock code, the default is 12345 .
If you've set and forgotten it, try turning off the phone, then pressing and holding the green (on) key, the number 3 key, and the asterisk (*) key. Keep them depressed until the phone is powered on. That will reset the entire phone to factory (meaning you'll lose anything stored on it: apps, contacts, messages, etc.), and the default lock code will be 12345 again.
On some versions of this phone, that won't work. For those, you'll need to take it into a Nokia technician.
The colour changing and dare i say it...vibration is the connection between the phone and the back. as you may know the n79 has chip in the back cover to tell the phone which colour to make the screen to match. Mine did this for months and months and then I changed the back and everything has been fine since then! Well apart from the fact that it crashes twice a day when i turn the keypad lock off and somehow i've smashed the lcd screen, but other than that all good!
try taking out the Sim card, wait about 10 minutes at least, the put it back in, with the Sim the correct way, place the battery back in and turn your phone on, ( if this doesn't work, take it to your cell phone provider, and tell them it loses signal in normal coverage areas,)
Hey All
I had the same problem.. did your screen keep changing colour when your N79 virbrated??
WELL... Turn your phone off.. take off the back cover.. and leave for 10 mins. Then put on the back cover and switch on..
Then like magic its behaving it self.. for now!!
Hope this helps
Rich :o)
