I just bought this phone...refurbished. That is probably the problem. I originally could not reorder my contact alphabetically. Now, I am unable to access my contacts at all. If I press the phonebook key it does nothing... Any word of advice???

Check your phone's organizer if it have the stop watch, you go to your phones main menu and then organizer. Addresses is on phonebook, pls. be reminded that not all phones can store addresses it depends on phones capacity, but normally you will find it on "contacts"/"phonebook". thanks and have a nice day

you can do that by first activating your bluetooth under connectivity. once activated/on go ack to phonebook, click send via bluetooth.
hi i have sony ericsson C903 and this ''locked by another application cannot access contact now'' happens after i finish skype application. to be able to acces contacts again i have to take the battery out and sim as well and wait 30 sec before putting it back. annoying
I don't have the phone, but the solution must be a standard one.
Go to your Phonebook and locate your contacts. Press the options button (or whatever it is called in your phone) and enter the options for each contact. There you should be able to locate an option to set a ringtone to that contact. You can do this individually to each and every contact you wanna set a different ringtone to.
i can help... i have incurred this problem a couple of times and understand the frustration!
firstly, the reason why snd how this problem occurs is you have saved a number to your phonebook without a name and this causes the phone book to wig-out!
to fix the issue simply press "1#". This will allow you to view your phone book in its speed dial order. Scroll through this menu until you find the saved number without the name and DELETE it. This will immediately bring your phone book back to normal.
