Question about Logitech X-540 Computer Speakers

Speaker extensions I have the x540 computer speaker system, cant seem to find extension wire adaptors for the rear spakers, what size do I need, where can I find them?

Http://techgage.com/article/logitech_x-540_51_speakers/ has a great review of the components. Radio Shack could also tell you what you need. Avoid asking biggies like Best Buy or Circuit city, as their "little things" like extension wires are extraordinarily overpriced, compared to Target or Walmart.

I tried to extend the length of my front right speaker (power/vol) by purchasing a male to female VGA extension cord. When I connected bothe cables together and then to the sub everything stopped working...


I doubt the extension cord has something to do with that...Usually if the wires are short it would effect the main unit. Check the wires first,not only of the front right speaker but the others also...if they are short. If there's a fuse in the main unit you might find yourself lucky...otherwise you will have to get it checked by a mechanic.

Goodday remmember that you have to have a 5.1 sound card to be able to use a 5.1 sorround sound system.the 5.1 has more plug inputs to plug all the speaker FRONT REAR and SUB.

How does Logitech X-540 speakers connect to a laptop? Do you connect them through the headphone jack? Do you need to buy any extra cables?


see it is a 5.1 speaker system if your laptop comes with 3 audio jacks with colours green black and pink then all your speakers works if you have only two jacks tht is one jack for audio and other is microfone then u only your woofer and 2 speakers works in speaker cables ther will be two cables connect the green one to green jack your sound plays if u have totally 3 jacks connect the 2nd cable to black one(non microfone jack)check this out this works

Logitech x540 speakers- rear speakers distorted on matrix mode


I installed my soundcard which is the sound blaster SE audigy but when i try to test the sound i see that it does not sound separately.What i have to do to make them sound saperately when i'm testing it ?

Wired remote cable extension


Most monitor cables have only 14 of the pins connected, but if you get a fully wired svga extention cable it does work fine.
