Take each of the 6 parts and put them on ebay for sale. This way you might make enough money to buy a new laptop. Either that or be more descriptive in stating your problem.

Bad news. Your GPU is going out. (graphics chip) You will need professional repair or replace the motherboard. Excessive heat causes this so I am guessing an obstructed fan exhaust.

Hello, My HP dv9000's screen has split into four horizontal parts. They are all slightly yellowish and it is almost impossible to read anything in them. Please can you help?

I suppose you must have a Nvidia Graphic card in your laptop....

This is a very common problem with nVidia geforce 8400 and 8600 cards.
Serach google with this "Defective Nvidia geforce card" and you will see lots of user facing same problem in HP, Dell etc..

I too have an Hp laptop with nvidia geforce 8400. I have faced similar problems(screen got divided into 8 parts) in past for 3 times. Every time I have to replace my motherboard at HP service center.... It is caused by overheating of laptop that destroys the nvidia graphic card.
Go to the service Center and ask for a motherboard replacement.
hope this will help.....

Yup! The best thing to do is to call HP phone support and schedule a depot repair. Avail of its warranty because the motherboard of your system needs replacement.

Usually, turn-around-time for that is only 5-7 business days and that depends on the availability of the part/s.

Hp pavilion dv6775us will not power up.

These are the reasons why your pc wont switch on

1. Defective power adapter
2. Defective Processor
3. Defective Motherboard
Note: If you replaced your motherboard check the specs on the previous motherboard it should be the same part number or a replacement part number.

You can purchase your motherboard to HP System Board HP Motherboard

plug it into an external monitor to see if the problem duplicates, if so, the replace the screen.. if not, look at the motherboard again. Some of the DV2000 were AMD based, and they were nortorious for running really hot and could have "cooked" some components.

have the same problem. if updating the graphics driver doesnt work then it probably is the same as my problem.
HP service center said it's the graphics card or video card but since the video card is embedded in the motherboard, then you will have to replace the motherboard.
