Question about Panasonic CT-32SL15 32" TV

Panasonic Quintrex 32" 100Hz CRT

When I switch the TV on I get a picture, then after a few minutes it goes blank (sound still OK), then after about 15-20 minutes, with the picture coming on and off, it seems to kick into life and works OK.

Can anyone help?? My girlfreind doesn't want me to go and buy a nice new LCD TV yet until I can prove to her it's not fixable!!!

Thanks

Scott

I had this problem on my 42" Philips. Just got it yesterday and worked fine on the tv stand. As soon as I mounted the TV to the wall via wall mount system, I had the exact same issue you did. Figured it out today.

The wall mount was putting pressure against the center of the back of the tv (tv set had a slightly rounded back plate, and the mount was a flat plate). As soon as I put spacers (part of the wall mount hardware set) between the wall mount braket and the tv so there was no contact except at the mounting holes, the tv worked fine.

My theory is the pressure pushed the tv back plate against some board components which caused them to overheat (no air flow); or put pressure on internal connectors. I dont know.

Hope this helps, may not apply to your situation.

Take it back to the store. If warrenty is expired then you will have to get a new TV or send it for repair . I don't know of anyone that comes to your home for TV repair. Sounds like picture tube is out of it.

When switch on television picture blurred and image not clear. after some time around 20 minutes image starts to clear and tv plays normally, sound is ok

You have to check your capacitor may some of it have leak. May your picture tube have already a problem. Just check first the capacitor filter on the flyback that supply the power for the CRT socket of the picture tube.

it may sound like you have a input or a output problem if you have a video un plug it from the tv. and put your Aral strait to your tv that will tell you if your video is the problem not the tv.

Panasonic colour tv TX-29P150X (Made in Malysia)

sounds like you have a intermittant thermal condition and this could be the regulator IC the video jungle/sweep Ic. Anything in the switching poewer supply or sweep curcuit. This is a hard one unless your there with a meter and a schematic to measure voltages when the set goes out then you can use a can of freez sprasy to lightly spray on the supected part. Sorry i cant be of more help. Good Luck
