Fridge stopped coolong

It's a ice maker fault .. No other defect

The thermostat, which is also an ON_OFF switch has failed (@ 99% probability).

No, the little fridge doesn't have a pressure switch to turn the compressor off when freon is low. And no, auto freon is the wrong kind and it wont work in the little fridge. The freon that your little fridge uses is the stuff that all the fuss has been about (with the ozone layer), so it is not sold to appliance owners but only to licensed techs.

the compressor has an internal overlod inside of it after 115 degress it opens and wont start till it cools down below 115 unplug and try putting ice cubes on top of com pessor to cool it down otherwise it will take hours to cool off

my hotpoint quadrio is causing problems the fidge part is no longer cooling the light is coming on but thast is all what can cause this. can anyone help

Have you pulled out the refrigerator and cleaned or used a vacum cleaner to get out the dirt and dust off the back of the coils, or if the coils are underneath, you need to get an inexpensive appliance brush for fridge, and clean the coils under the fridge, pull off the panel on the front bottom of the fridge, get a flash light and look to see if the coils are covered in dust....may just need to vacum and use appliance brush underneath...this should be done at least one a year, you will notice your fridge running much better and cooling back to normal.......hope this helps......

Check the fan in back which cools the compressor . Also check the coils to make sure they are clean of dust , lint , etc...

Most likely a defrost problem..check the defrost thermostat, timer, heater, fan... if the fan in the freezer compartment running?? sometimes ice will form in the vents...check the easiest things first ..like the vents and drain tubes,,

If the fan inside the freezer is running and the compressor behind the fridge is running and is hot to touch, you have a gas problem or the compressor is inefficient. This can only be confirmed by connecting refrigeration gauges to the gas system and should only be performed by a fridge tech.
