Question about Pioneer CDX-FM653 6-Disc CD Changer

Pioneer cdx-fm61 with cxa5863 remote

I purchased a car with the stereo in it .The previous owner thought the problem (no sound) might lie in the interface between the amp/cd changer and the vehicle antenna and/or stock radio receiver. All components appear to be functioning properly. I am assuming all connectioions are correct. Perhaps you could assist me in obtaining a wiring diagram so that I can review the hook up in the car.

It was may be 88.1 or 89.1

I have just bought a car from my aunt not too long ago. And she has this CD changer with it. I have only got it to work once, and it stopped working for no reasons. My aunt taught me to switch the radio frequency to FM 88.1, and then turn on the CD changer. It worked once, and then the next day it stopped working.

There should be a display. OE radios tend to use the car's general purpose computer display.
If there is a code It is likely to be an OE product and the code and audio manual (and spare keys) should have been passed on by the previous owner. If such things are not with the car the resale price should be considerably lower reflecting the trouble and expense not having such things can cause subsequent owners.

If the previous owner cannot or will not help I suggest you contact your local VW dealer.

Does using an ipod/AUX adapter through the CD changer input stop a real CD from working?

you have to change it from the Aux setting to CD when you want to play cd, some cd players switch to aux. automatically when you plug inthe aux. cable. and may have to be unplugged when playing cd.

I bought a used Sony 3 disc changer stereo from a co-worker. I inserted 3 CD's and cannot get it to play. It says "mechanical error". I asked the previous owner about it and she said it...

sounds like the mech might have gotten jared when moving it. might want to take apart and see if you can see anything loose or out of place.

Blaupunk car stereo

There could be a loose connection somewhere.
Does the sound stops on a regular time interval or only on certain conditions?
Would there be a chance that there's water leakage at the area where the CD changer is stored?
