I have done as you suggested but no change. I also have removed the RAM and reinserted it with no change.

  • ianhadley44 Feb 15, 2010

This advice was of no use at all. I diagnosed the problem myself and fixed it by replacing the CPU. Why then has my credit card been charged by you?

  • ianhadley44 Feb 15, 2010

You advertise that you don't charge my credit card until I agree that the problem is resolved due to your advice. It wasn't, but you charged me anyway. Please reverse this charge.

Hello, Ian.

The most common reasons are the power adapter/cord and power jack.

If you move/wiggle the power adapter at the point where it connects to the laptop, and the power goes off and on, the power jack is the problem.
The power jack is inside the laptop and either needs soldering or replacement.

If no change, the power adapter is faulty and needs replacement.

Hope this helps.

If i understand the issue correctly,, you mean to say that the laptop shutdown after a few seconds. It could because of a memory conflict.

Shutdown and disconnect the Ac adapter to the laptop
Remove the battery from the bottom of the laptop.
Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds
Reconnect The ac adapter only and power on the laptop.
If the issue is resolved re-insert the battery after shutting down the laptop.

if the issue is not resolved it would require furthur investigation , please respond back in case you need more help.

Thanks for using Fixya

Make sure there are no vacuum leaks around the mass air flow sensor. If it won't idle when stopped, change the Idle Air Control Valve. Reset the ECU module by removing the negative battery terminal and leave it aside for ten minutes and then reconnect it.

I downloaded an update from Samsung "firmware" and

you are fucked up. REMEMBER: never upgrade your printer firmware if you want to use re-manufactured toners. You can't return to prevision version of printer firmware. You have to look for some new hacked firmware version and then everything will be OK. This firmware usually is not for free.

Every time I download a video it stops every few seconds

The cause of your problem is simple: your "cache"
memory & "temporary internet files" are nearly full.
This is especially true if you've been watching lots
of videos or playing a lot of games/music.

If you are experiencing either: A) slugglish loading
and buffering, B) "choppy" videos which frequently
start/stop/start/stop, C) the YouTube dotted circle
looking like it might spin for ever, or D) videos that
will sometimes come to a sudden "stop" or freeze,
that is often a sign that your cache/memory is full
and cannot take anymore.

Exit out of YouTube (but not your browser) and do
one of the steps below. Afterwards, shutdown and
reboot. Not only will this "free up" your computer's
memory, everything will be "fresh", and load faster:

Internet Explorer 6:
→ Tools → Internet Options
→ Delete Cookies → OK
→ Delete Files → OK
→ Clear History → Yes
→ OK

Internet Explorer 7:
→ Tools → Internet Options → Delete...
→ Delete files → Yes
→ Delete cookies → OK
→ Delete history → OK
→ Close (browsing history window)
→ OK

Internet Explorer 8:
→ Tools → Delete Browsing History
[. ] Preserve Favorites (leave blank)
[x] Temporary Internet files
[x] Cookies
[x] History
→ Delete

Mozilla Firefox 3:
→ Tools → Clear Private Data
[x] Browsing History
[x] Download History
[x] Saved Form and Search History
[x] Cache
[x] Cookies
→ Clear Private Data Now
Google Chrome:
→ Tools (wrench) → Clear browsing data...
[x] Clear browsing history
[x] Clear download history
[x] Empty the cache
[x] Delete cookies
Clear data from this period: → Everything
→ Clear Browsing Data

Please rate me if this solution works for you

Thanks......Have a great time.

SAGEM MF 5461 HSYNC printer error and Fuser Temp error

According to SAGEM this fault is caused by an incorrect operation of the fuser unit – the
machine did not heat up in time.
Follow the keystrokes set out below, do not worry about what is on the display unless
stated to check. All letters referred to are for the keys on the alpha key pad to the right of
the control panel, under the plastic flap.
For the 5461:
Press down arrow, *, #, ok, 1, ok, stop (red button),
Press down arrow, #, T.
The machine returns to the error code. Switch the machine off for 10 seconds, switch
back on. If successful the machine will warm up and come ready.
Press down arrow, *, #, 0 (ZERO), ok, stop.
For the 5401:
Press down arrow, *, #, ok, 1, ok, stop.
Press down arrow, #, look on the display, press up arrow until “T>>PRINTER” is
displayed. Press ok. The machine returns to the error code. Switch the machine off for 10
seconds, switch it back on. If successful the machine will warm up and come ready.
Press down arrow, *, #, ok, 0 (ZERO), ok, stop.
If this is a recurring problem the firmware on the board may need to be upgraded, or there
is a physical fault with the fuser unit. Low voltage / power surges in the supply power to
the machine may also play a part in the occurrence of the error.
The firmware needs to be version 1.10.
To check the firmware version do the following:
Press down arrow, *, #, ok, 1, ok, stop.
Press down arrow, *, W
Firmware version is displayed. Press stop to clear screen.
Press down arrow, *, #, ok, 0 (ZERO), ok, stop.
Press down arrow, *, #, ok, 1, ok, stop
Press *
The trace lists will be printed, firmware version is after PRT, as in example below.
In this example, the printer firmware is: PRT V 1.5
It is older than V 1.10 and the printer firmware need to be upgraded.
The firmware can only be upgraded at Copy Type Electronics or at SAGEM in France.
Therefore the entire machine will have to be returned to us for the upgrade.
