Question about HP PSC 2210 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

The printer had a paper jam yesterday. So, I cleared the paper and presses Enter. However, the LCD kept, ( and still does ) say something like: " Check the cartridge and then press enter." So, I took out both cartridges and looked at them. But I couldn't see anything wrong with them. I closed the printer and pressed enter. But the LCD still insists on the same message. I tried restarting the printer. But to no avail. The cartridges, by the way are almost new. HELP!!!

OK sometime a Power Disconnection, read, UNPLUG, can do wonders. As can a reboot of your PC. try both.

Error message= open door clear carriage jam and

I think the message is instructions, as in
(1) open door (2) clear carriage jam (3) press enter
So there is something internal to the printer that makes it think it has a carriage jam, piece of paper under a sensor, dirty or stuck sensor.
If you can't find it using a bright light, try canned air.

Paper Jam

Have you checked for paper jammed in the rollers or any other small item like a paper clip? Also are you running this on wired or wireless connection?

I had a paper jam on my HPPhotosmart C4280. I cleared it but now I can't print at all. Paper either passes through without printing or jams again halfway through. I was just given a technical service...

If you are using that specific printer. After clearing the paper jam clean the rollers of the printer with a cotton ball that is moist with water or a lint free cloth that is moist with water.
Reset your printer by following this steps
1. Press and hold Cancel (X) then press the power button and release both simultaneously
2. “Enter Key Combo” will display on the LCD
3. Press and release in sequence BLUE, GREEN and GRAY
4. Press BLUE button twice “reset menu” displays on LCD
5. Press GREEN button
6. Press BLUE button once “PARTIAL RESET” displays on LCD
7. Press BLUE button twice “SEMI-FULL RESET” displays on LCD
8. Then press GREEN button
9. Then device turns OFF.
10. Turn ON device.
Try to print afterwards. If you will still have the same problem and if you think that you are still in warranty then call this number 1-800-474-6836 this is the number for hp technical support.

LCD Error message: Paper output slot. Thye paper is jammed. clear the paper and press OK.

A jam sensor may be stuck or have something stuck on it, causing the machine to think it is jammed. These sensors are normally located where the paper feeds into the printer, and where the paper exits the printer. Try forcing a sheet of paper through the machine in the direction paper normally. feeds. This may free up the jam sensors.

I had the same problem kept getting an error something like Jam at Exit Door Open Door A. When I looked at the top of the where paper normally comes from and flipped it open I found a super crinkled piece of paper, which once removed cleared the jam.
