How to enable highspeed usb on neclcd1770nx monitor

On most monitors that have usb ports you have to run a usb cable from the computer to the monitor to get the usb ports to work.

If your computer is not equipped with high speed usb ports you can purchase a pci usb adapter card that can make it usb 2.0 which is considered high speed.

Try purchasing one from Tiger Direct at:

http://www.tigerdirect.com

Below is a link to one that I use which costs $9.99

Where can i find a high speed usb port on the hp pavilion desk top that was purchased new in 2009, thanks, bob

Hi Bob,
Usually the USB ports are either on the front of the unit or you may find some on the back of the unit. All USB ports are now HighSpeed, using the 2.0 delineation. Any port you find will do what you like for that particular unit.
Hope this answers your query.

you have no high speed ports installed on your computer. what you have is USB 1.0. you can however purchase a high speed USB pci card (usb 2.0) and install it in your computer to get faster transfer speeds.

DELL Optiplex 330 keeps rebooting after setting BIOS to factory setting

The processor speed may be too high or too low for the computer to handle. It can become reset to a default choice when you reset the BIOS. Just keep changing it until something works. (There should be around 3 choices)

What does "mother board compromised" mean? I had a bright house tech out and he replaced the high speed eithernet card, and told me the computer may not keep up.Now i cant get on line or it freezes up or...

motherboard compromised , from my experience, is a setting that has been trigged in the BIOS on the motherboard (ie the memory chip that saves system settings like RAM speed etc).
The trigger was umm, triggered when the PC case door was opened.
There's probably a sensor under the case door like how a car alarm goes off if someone pops the hood.
This should be able to be reset from within the BIOS, so when you turn your PC on, press Delete, or F2 or whatever your BIOS toggle button is. (it usually tells you on the first screen you get when the PC is switched on.)

Fan cycles to high speed

change the settings in BIOS, while the computer restarts, quickly press F2 or the DEL key on your keyborad (it depends on the computer which button is to enter BIOS), there you can change the fan speed to work at which speed, but beware with the settings, you might spoil things up, find for Advanced settings tab and you may find it there.. was that helpful?

High Speed and viruses

Slowness can be caused by viruses.

Run a virus scan and see what comes up.
If there are viruses on the computer, you may want to consider Restoring your computer to factory settings.

But before you do that
Run a virus scan; go to Symantec and run it or download AVG free.

If you decide to restore to factory settings, I will be glad to help you. Understand, you will loose everything on the computer, and you will have to run all your programs again, set up your network connection and email. Very time consuming.
