I CANT RESET SAMSUNG HEADSET WEP410 TO NEW SAMSUNG M110 PHONE PREVIOUSLY PAIRED WITH NOKIA 5500d

  • pearluser Dec 30, 2008

I just got a Plantronics Discovery 610 and could not get it to pair with my Blackberry Pearl. The 610 though it was already paired, and did not blink red-blue-red-blue-etc. as advertised.

I discovered that as I turn on the headset I needed to hold down the power button continually after pressing it to turn it on. Then, I got the red-blue-red-etc and the Pearl recognized the device.

turn head set back on and proceed to HOLD the button down until your phone discovers it. Then enter the CODE 0-0-0-0.

I have done succesfully done for a Samsung wep301. If you have paired the headset with other
Bluetooth devices, make sure that the headset
is off. Press and hold the Multi-Function button
until the blue indicator light stays solid blue after
blinking. You mobile device will now find your headset.

Not sure if this helps but I just wasted an hour figuring out how to reset my BT4517 headset...turn it off, turn it on, while the phone is searching for it, hold down the volume control & the light changes from blue to red, then the phone finds it. How frustrated was I trying to find that out xxx

SOURCE: Please help with Samsung WEP410 Headset Problem

As Quoted from Arfur - see bold print if you are having problems. You don't need to unpair the other phone, it will unpair itself.:

>Paraphrasing from the manual:
>1. Turn off headset.
>2. Press & hold the Multi-function button for 8 seconds, until >the lower half is lit up blue (not flashing).***THIS IS >IMPORTANT! KEEP HOLDING IT IN UNTIL IT STOPS >FLASHING! The whole thing will be lit up blue, but the lower >half will be brighter.
>3. Set your 'phone to discover bluetooth devices.
>4. Your 'phone will find the "Samsung WEP410" headset, & >ask if you want to pair with it. Confirm by pressing "Yes" or >"OK".
>5. Enter passkey or PIN "0000" (4 zeros), then "Yes" or "OK".

Samsung WEP410 charging cradle

I have a WEP410, charging cradle and required power cable that plugs into the cradle.  I will sell them all to you or whoever first accepts my offer to sell the whole setup for $45 plus shipping from California.  Just think, with an extra WEP410, you can be charging one and using the other, so you always have a charged-up headset.
I used it only briefly, paired it with a Samsung Blackjack II I think and it worked fine, but was unable to pair it with my Motorola Razr so I'd like to get another headset instead.
Great for people with small earholes, though!  Most earbuds are too big for my ears.

Pairing wep410

(Read the whole thing before doing anything)
From the off mode hold the Multi-function button down for 5 seconds. 3 seconds into it set your device to search.
This is my solution for all bluetooth pairing.
