I have no idea. But I emailed Mozilla and asked them what was going on. I got no reply, but my firefox has not crashed since.

Get crash ID's


To get your crash ID's go to about:crashes in your firefox location bar. Copy and paste ID into post, when support is needed.


If you are unable to do this...

In Linux:
  1. Open up home folder
  2. Click "View"
  3. Click "Show Hidden Files"
  4. Find the folder ".mozilla"
  5. Open the folder up
  6. Look for "Firefox" folder
  7. Open "Firefox" folder
  8. Open Crash Reports folder
  9. Right click on file
  10. Click "Rename"
  11. Copy entire name.
  12. Paste into post.


In Windows Vista
  1. Click "Start" (Windows Orb)
  2. In search box, enter %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\
  3. Press enter
  4. Right click on file
  5. Click "Rename'
  6. Copy entire file name
  7. Enter in post
In Windows XP/2000

  1. Click "Start"
  2. Click "Run"
  3. Enter %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports in "Run" window
  4. Press enter
  5. Right click on file
  6. Click "Rename'
  7. Copy entire file name
  8. Enter in post

If Firefox is crashing, please type "about:crashes" into the location bar, and reply with a Crash ID from that page.

You will need to uninstall and install firefox but that will not be a guarantee that it will not crash again.
You may try using Flock, it is also powered by mozilla but it is faster and has less or no crashes at all.
You can download flock at www.flock.com
Looks is same with Firefox but has less add ons.

Mozilla firefox keeps crashing then it takes a long time to come back on


hi....
try to start firefox in safe mode:
by the explorer window, go to
c:\program files\firefox
then do START, RUN, and type "firefox -saf-mode"
normally after you shut it down that way, it wouldn't crash anymore..

Mozilla crash report


U must disable some stupid add-ons. Simply click :

1. START
2. all programs
3. Mozilla Firefox --> Mozilla Firefox Safe Mode
4. In the window that appears check DISABLE ALL ADD ONS and then hit the RESTART MOZILLA button

Worked for me after 2 long weeks without mozilla :)
