Question about Kenmore 62882 Electric Dryer
The following link explains how to install either a 3 or a 4 wire appliance cord:
The main difference is how the Neutral (White) and Ground (Green or Bare) wires are termianted. In a 3 wire configuration these two wires are termianted together at the terminal block. In a 4 wire configuration these two wires remain independent of each other. Neutral is terminated at the terminal block, while ground is terminated at the equipment cabinet. If there is a jumper wire or ground strap between the two, remove it.
