Question about Samsung Audio Players & Recorders
Hi, I have a Samsung MM-DG35I Personal Micro Component System, which allows ipod nano hookup using an external dock. It will play audio files without a problem (using the tv screen to see the menu), however consistently gives me an error message on the TV screen of 'cannot play video files saved on this i-pod nano'
I have an 8 Gb I-pod nano. I am connecting the component system to an older style TV that has a single coaxial input, however have a RF regulator between the micro system and the TV (but was giving similiar error message even before the regulator attached)
Thanks in advance.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

When your home theater's display reads PROTECTION, it means the home theater is over heating and the unit will shut down to prevent any damage. This can happen if the unit is stacked along with other electronic devices or the unit is in an enclosed area that prevents the unit from cooling properly. To decrease the chance of overheating, relocate your home theater to a more open area.
If the home theater display reads PROTECTION every time you turn it on, no matter where or how the unit is placed, it needs service. To set up service call Samsung Customer Care at 1-800-SAMSUNG (1-800-726-7864). Have your model number and serial number on hand to set up service.

Plug a yellow video cable into the TV (IN) and the Sound system (Out) then go onto AV1 on the TV or which ever port you plugged the cable into and play a movie and u can see it. A menu doesnt come up like the A ipod funtion so it comes up no signal until u play an actual movie on the ipod. If u dont have a yellow video cable i think u can use the white or red audio ones.

for this kind of unit HTS8100 that comes with htd7001 it can only play some ipod. for instance if you want to play music you can use ipod nano but if you want to play video you need to use ipod 4th and 5th generation. because there's compatible issue with this unit because ipod was released after this unit (hts8100) was released

Try to check the audio setting of the player. If you user using optical or coaxial then the audio out put format setting should be Raw other wise it should be PCM. You will see the setting if you go through the menu of the player
