If you have another lens or another body, try to determine whether it's the lens or the camera that's at fault. If you don't have either, take your camera and lens to a good camera store and determine which is at fault. The store can also give you an estimate on fixing whatever is broken.

Obviously, the lens mount is no longer in line.

I have a Nikon N65 and an AF Nikkor lens on it. The lens fell off some time ago, and now it does not lock in place.

The most likely culprit is a broken mount on the lens. Some Nikkor lenses have a plastic mount whose bayonet blades can break off when the camera is subjected to a shock. Since you neglected to specify the lens I don't know if this is the case with yours.

If you have access to another lens, try it. If that one stays on then the problem is with your lens. If that one doesn't stay on then the problem is most likely the mount on the camera itself, which is a more serious problem (unless the mounts on both lenses are broken).

Sounds like the coupling pin on the body is missing, Try a diff auto focus on the body, If it still does it then I believe that\'s the problem, On the body next to the lens mount, About 7 o clock there should be a lever that couples with the lens when is is at f22 or larger

If you are no longer covered by an in-store warranty, whether an extended service or recent sale (typically 30 days) type, going back to Best Buy probably will not help (but asking about it can't hurt).

Nikon Customer Support may be the best place to get the camera repaired, but you'll have to determine if the cost is worth it. If you decide to buy new, be aware that not all Nikon lenses work with all Nikon cameras. Otherwise, if you buy a new Nikon, you'll be able to reuse many of the accessories you currently own for the D60. This can save you a fair amount of money - but make sure your lenses and other accessories will work with the new Nikon model you're planning on buying *first*

I hope this helps!

How can i repair my D60 Nikon lens? It wont zoom in or out ?

Sounds like its damaged, if the zooming is stuck. It might have fallen causing internal parts to damage.
I strongly recommend contacting Nikon service for this kind of repairs, because its far too easy to trouble the glass if you open it. I mean even if you manage to fix the issue many things can go wrong inside and the lens wont be come out clean. Better to leave it to professionals here.
