Some movies are encoded with a protection the Disc acts as if you are tempting to copy the write protected dvd. you can get a program for free called shrink dvd that will remove the protection and copy the movie to your Pc so you can watch it.

"be free to ask your doubts friend...am here to help u based on computers:-)"
well...assuming you have the laptop open and on you may have a conflicting driver. I would recommend checking your video drivers. If you have installed any new software to play movies it may have overwritten the drivers to play movies. Please reply with the Operating system you are using and the program you want to use to watch movies. Thank you joe
You won't be able to play bigs games, Usually with the games, it comes with a system min requirement and the min direct x version need to play those games. If you do not meet the min requirement, then you cannot play that game, and you will need not just to upgrade the video card but maybe mem, cpu and direct x to meet the min requirement.
Yes, it requires flash player like adobe flash player to be able to play games, watch movies online, listen to movies and others. Just go to the adobe flash player website http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ and click install to install it directly or go to www.youtube.com and he will ask that it needs flash player. Adobe flash download icon will appear or link will appear and just click the download link and it will directly installed it to your computer. That all and your problem it solve. Enjoy watching movies or listen songs if you want.
It's a very good laptop, the only thing it's missing is a good video card. That means you'll be able to watch movies and such perfectly fine, but don't expect to be able to play high-graphical intensity games very well. As long as you aren't an avid gamer, this laptop will suite you just fine. Please rate, thanks!
Not much you can do about this. The movie industry sets movies to low volume when recording for better sound. They expect you to have the equipment to boost the sound. This cuts down on their outside noise. Only solution for this is to install external speakers as I have done for my movie or TV playing (I installed a TV adapter so I could hook up a projector and display the BIG game outside) but as you say, we couldn't hear it until I hooked up external speakers.
Have you checked that the video card is capable of playing movies, that is does your computer meet the minimum requirements to play movies?
Note: Playback of movies is a very resource hungry activity and needs a powerful CPU and a powerful video card; not necessarily the most powerful by todays standards, but older computers may fall below ther minimums.
A modern basic video card should be able to play movies, but again check the minimum requirements for the whole computer to see if you need to upgrade any other equipment.
Secondly: Go to the video card manufacturers site and download the latest drivers for your card from there (Windows Update will not do this).
