I open the box and plug the unit into any outlet, the outlet's circuit breaker pop-off within a minute. I turned the knob to off position before plugging into outlet, and the circuit breaker still pop off. I tried this on all the outlets with circuit breaker, resulting the same. There is something wrong with the unit, it should not trip the breaker.
You are going to have to send it back.

I tried to see how many amps the unit draws, but there website is poor
and I don't even see a way to get the manual if you needed one.

It has an Earth to Phase fault. It would be best to NOT use it & DO NOT touch it while it is plugged in.

Why did my treadmill stop abruptly while in use?

Your assumption is correct, if you have a household circuit breaker popping, you have a short or over current situation. If you have too many other things plugged into the same circuit you could be overloading that breaker. Depending on how your home is wired, you could have a few (older homes may have quite a few) outlets feed by a single breaker. If you have used the treadmill in that outlet (with the same items plugged into that circuit), the breaker it's self MIGHT be going bad (popping at too low of current).

For safety, inspect the power cord, for any damage, and be replaced if there is any.

If the power core is undamaged, I would try plugging the treadmill in another circuit. Choose an outlet that was not affected when the breaker popped. It you use an extension cord to get to another outlet, be sure it's rated for enough current. If it still pops the same breaker it's the same circuit, and you need to plug it in somewhere else (probably in another room). If a different breaker pops, then the short in in your treadmill. At this point you will need to know something about electricity to further isolate the short.

ONLY one of my circuits (out of 25) is

First off do you have anything plugged in to any of the outlets that are on that breaker? If so unplug and try resetting the breaker again. If not you may have a faulty plug. Go to lowes or a good hardware store and buy you a circuit tester for plugs they make them that plug in and have lights that will light up and give the error or what is wrong with that plug. It sounds like your overloading the breaker.

My Maytag Portable Air Conditioner Model #M6P09S2B keeps popping my breaker. Can you help me solve this problem?

This can because by a couple of things. An electrical fault within the AV Unit or the electrical circuit the unit is plugged into has other electric appliances on the same circuit. Thereby, overloading that one circuit. Try plugging the unit into another outlet that is on a different circuit. If it trips a circuit breaker then, the problem is within the unit. In which case, you will need to have the unit checked and serviced.

Hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

Unit will start and run for 5 seconds, then will blow a circut breaker on 20A. circut. This is a model AD75USTO Serial # QU2660438 AKA Whirlpool gold energy star

Hopefully, it's not a problem inside the unit that's causing the circuit breaker to trip. Is there another electrical appliance plugged into the same outlet or on that circuit that is ON and draws 15 amps of power? If so, that's the problem. If that's not the case, turn the circuit breaker OFF and remove the outlet cover, so you can inspect the receptacle and it's wiring. A loose wiring connection or a broken or cracked receptacle could be the issue. If you don't find any damage reassemble the outlet and turn the circuit breaker back ON. Instead of plugging in the dehumidifier, plug in a lamp or something similar and turn it ON. Leave it on for more than 5 minutes to see if the circuit breaker trips again. If it does, you'll know the problem is either with the outlet receptacle or the circuit breaker. If doesn't, plug in the dehumidifier (Make sure the Master ON/OFF Switch on the unit is in the OFF position, before plugging it in. Then turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to ON and set your controls. If the circuit breaker trips again, the problem is in the dehumidifier. You will need to call Whirlpool Customer Care, as it's an internal electrical issue.

In case you have misplaced your Owners Manual, I have included a link to it, that you can download and print for future reference. http://www.kitchenaid.ca/assets/pdfs/literature/Use%20and%20Care%20Guide%20-%201188927.pdf

I hope what information I have provided to you, will help you trouble shoot and solve the problem.

None of the buttons on the microwave worknot even the fan or light

Does it plug in or is it hardwired?
If it is plugged in, you can unplug it, wait a few minutes, then plug it back in and it may have just needed this reset.

Is it on a circuit breaker outlet? If it is, you may just need to push the little button in the middle of the outlet.

If not ,did it pop the breaker in your electrical box? You can have alook and turn the breaker back to the on position if this is true, but you might want to consider why it would have done so. Is it still safe to use?

Maytag M7Y15F2A-D A/C - won't turn on -long beep then nothing

The beeping might be an alarm that indicates the coils are iced over by too much humidity in the air...and/or the unit is overheating etc.
shut off power to the unit for a few hours, go out somewhere if it is too stuffy inside.. see if the unit operates better when you return... I also suggest not running these things constantly, this causes some units to ice up and **** up the power..
hope the unit does get replaced, newer ones are more efficient.

Could be a lot of things - but I'm wondering if when you are checking the 'fuse at the plug-in,' are you actually checking the outlet for voltage?

I would check the outlet for voltage; i.e. plug in a hair dryer or something to the outlet and see if it (hair dryer) comes on. If it doesn't then I would check your breakers and see if you have a breaker tripped. In homes - you can usually go to your breaker panel (usually in the garage or a store room, i.e. pantry, hot water closet, sometimes in hallways behind doors) and find the breaker panel.

On a small unit like yours it would probably be a 15 or 20 amp single throw (like a light switch) breaker. If it's 'tripped' it can be in a position that resembles half on and half off, or it can look completely 'off.'

Remember - if it's a 'tripped breaker' - just re-setting the breaker might not solve the problem. There is usually a reason for a breaker tripping - although they do on occasion 'trip' for no reason.

In any event - if it's a tripped breaker - i would reset it and then if it happened again, either within a few minutes/or an hour - or within a day or two - then I would suspect something wrong with the unit and I would need more information, or you might need a qualified technician to trouble shoot the unit.

Note: if the breaker is tripped and when you reset it - it immediately 'pops back off.' Leave it off and call a tech - because you have a direct short and it will have to be trouble shooted.

good luck!

The reset button keeps popping out of my outdoor outlet. Not getting any power and no circuit breakers are tripped. What next?

Determine if OTHER circuits are tied to this GFCI.

If none are, then there is probably moisture getting into the unit and tripping it. It takes less than 5 milliampers of current leakage to trip these.

Most of thes ALLOW other circuits to be fed and protected by the single unit by attaching to a second set of connections on the plug.

Turn off the circuit breaker (and double check the plug is dead) and remove it. You MAY find insects or other contamination is causing the problem within the box. If a second set of wires lead from the unit, other receptacles may be the source of the problem.

It is possible that the interconnection link(s) between the two sockets in the duplex outlet have blown apart. Turn off power at the electrical panel for this circuit, remove the outlet from it's box, and check the interlink on both sides. If obviously burned, replace the socket. A better option is to run another duplex cable from the breaker box to the outlet from a new breaker, cut the interconnections on the new socket, and wire the new cable to the isolated part of the socket. This supplies full power to each half and allows both units to run at the same time.

Kenmore Elite HE3 Dryer PF on control panel,

HI, there may have been a slight power failure within the home breaker unit or the dryer may have lost power to the control for some sort of reason.

I recommend a thorough inspection of the terminal block on the back side of this unit. make sure the power cord is attached tightly and the wall outlet is secure and holding the power cord correctly. if everything looks great with the terminal block and the power cord is plugged in the outlet correctly, simply unplug this unit for 5 minutes to reset the control. after the 5 minutes are up, plug the unit in once more and the PF alert should reset.

Make sure the breaker box in your home is working properly. (the actual breaker switch for the dryer must be in the on position)
