Hi,

Unplug the unit for 15 Minutes, and then check, if the Code is still there.

If yes, as you have already replaced the Touch Pad, this Confirms Faulty Control Board. ( F24 usually means Shorted Keypad or in other words, the machine is unable to Communicate and execute the directions ).

Remove the touch pad ribbon off the control board at restore power if the code does not come back the touch pad is bad if it does come back the control is bad.

Note - Make sure all the wires are tight and secure.

Let me know, if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

An F-24 is a stuck key. When ever you change a keypad and the same error occurs you change the control board or go to plan B and send it off to be repaired. The guys at Fixyourboard.com will diagnose the problem, run a computer analysis, and repair the board. Get in touch with Bruce. I think he charges around $129 bucks.

I'm getting a f24 code on my lower wall oven...what to do?

Hi. Error code F24 indicates that the controller has failed to communicate with the lower convection fan and oven lights control board. If the error code persists, I would recommend connecting with an expert repair tech to assist further and the display board may need replacing.

F24 code

In some cases I have had to replace both the touch pad and power relay board. Expensive! HOWEVER, I have, on occasion, found the wide ribbon from the touch pad to the relay board to be at fault. I have not found replacements for these as of yet. I have been able to "open" the ribbon to clean the contacts within and reassemble it to find everything working. Needless to say, my clients have been extremely happy with my ability to do so, saving them thousands if having to replace the entire unit.
I found the bad connection when the lighting was dim and I saw a "flash" at the point ribbon it inserted in the end piece. Hope this helps.

F24 shows on readout and oven shuts off

The F24 fault code is caused by a closed/stuck/shorted contact on the control panel for more than 60 seconds, such has someone leaning against the controls or objects hanging in front of the controls.

Solution: Touch OVEN OFF, or turn power OFF at the circuit breakers, wait 3 minutes and then turn it back on. If the condition persists the touchpad/control panel will likely need to be replaced. Turn the power off in order to stop the beeping.

Outer glass on oven door shattered, can i still use it

I wouldn't use it the temperature will get very high and the glass that is on the inside will be extreemely hot and could burn somebody badly if touched, Also the glass gets everywhere as they explode and if not completed cleared out may cut.

I have a c302zs with f24 code i changed glass touch problem came back ???????? now what if you can also tell me the part #i have 3 ongoing just like this.my cust. not happy thanx ALL MAKE APPLIANCE

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa.
F24 error is caused when it is a bad touchpad. Heat will cause these buttons to stick sometimes. F24 means a key has been stuck for longer than 120 seconds. The random beeps means a button is opening and closing. When you warm your oven up it expands the buttons and makes it so a button is being held down so you can't push any more to turn it back on. The touchpad is the glass assembly on the front, and I think you’ll have to carry out the repair again and replace it with a new one as the old one might have been faulty. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

I have a Thermadore double wall oven, M# C302ZS. The oven is reading F24. I put in a new whole front touch pad, and it's still reading F24. What can be my problem??

Hello,

I've copy and pasted an exert from this ovens service manual. try this and let me know of the results.

Good Luck

F-24 or F-25 This is caused by close contact to the control panel for more than 60 seconds,
appears in display window such as someone leaning against the controls or objects hanging in front of
controls.
F followed by 2 digits appears Touch OFF or turn power off at the circuit breaker, wait 3 minutes and turn
in the display window it back on.

F24 Error code and incessant beeping

Being a software developer I guessed that the keyboard (the touch pad) was bad, because in my case one of the keys (the Top Oven OFF key) did not beep or work. So I went on the Thermador website and found the touchpad on the schematic. I ordered one yesterday from a firm called Mar-Cone in St. Louis, and it arrived today. It is a very easy replacement, and takes about 10 minutes. Happily it was a good guess, and it works fine. For the 27" SEC272BS/01 (stainless) the part # is 474083, and cost $189.20. They will express ship for $25.

Phew, we have 20 people coming for dinner on Thursday.

I'll be happy to let anyone know how to change the panel.
