Hello, Justin.

If you are using all the devices (3 xboxes and 1 computer) all the same time, your signal strength will be weaker, since you are dividing the signal.

So, power one or more devices off (not just logoff) if you are using the others.

Hope this helps.

You may have to change the ip address of one of you systems. Sounds like one is interfering with another. You can change it in system settings.

  • Anonymous Feb 07, 2010

In your system settings, there should be an option to change your connection settings. From here, make sure everything is set to automatic. Then you should have to adjust anything. Then unplug just the router's plugin for exactly 10 full long seconds, plug back in, wait 3 minutes and try everything again to see if it works.

That is possible if you don't have a very high rated router. I suggest N series or G series. I run 2 xbox 360's 1, desktop and 3 laptops off of our belkin router I got off of amazon.com for $40. N series is the newest and fastest router connection

I have an xbox 360s and it is hooked up to the internet the xbox shows its hooked up but keep getting an error when hooking up to xbox live

Hi!
Sounds like you have an issue with the hardware connection, specifically your connection components. If you are using a wired connection, try using a different ethernet cable and see if that is the issue. If it is wireless, make sure it is a strong connection and that the Xbox is in an open area relatively close to the room that your router is in.
Hope it helped!

Do I need any special equipment other than the ethernet cable connection for my linksys broadband wireless-g router

That's all you need to get your wireless internet up and running. However, in order to connect computers to the wireless network, they must be wireless capable, for example, most laptops have built in wifi, however desktops will need a wireless adapter to take advantage of your wireless router.

How do i hook my xbox up to my computer to get on xbox live?

hi,

just to elaborate on zombies post.....
Zombie is correct in what she says...but in 'Laymans' terms.........
you dont need to hook up your xbox to ur computer to get 'On Live' .
The easiest way is a direct 'Ethernet' lead (plugged into the back of ur 360....(dont worry....u cant put it in the wrong slot....an ethernet lead will only fit an ethernet slot)) & the other end into an empty Ethernet slot on your broadband suppliers router (the little box they sent you which is plugged into ur fone line)....there are usually '4' ethernet slots on most routers ! once the ethernet lead is plugged in just follow on screen instructions (xbox) for 'signing' up to 'Xbox Live' :-)

hope this is a little easier to understand ??

p.s. Dont get ripped off buying an ethernet lead if u havnt got one long enuf ! dont let the shops tell you ur better off with 'Gold' plated ones !! its rubbish !! u dont need gold plated !
the usual 'bay' shop (u know who i mean??) have numerous suppliers....u dont want to be paying more than £5 for at least a 5 metre one !

p.p.s dont bother with the wireless adapters !! there pants !

good luck :-)

make sure that your cables r connected correctly, just swap them around internet and ethernet on the back of your router. Also make sure u run your software wizard that came with the router. also the cable that is running from the back of your computer should connect into router internet port then your ethernet cable should run from router to dsl box

Connect the cable from the LAN port on the DSL modem to any of the 4- LAN ports on the Linksys Swicth (not the port Labelled Internet), then from any of the remaining 4 ports then connect your computer. Also try using a cross-over cable to modem from the DSL LAN port to the Linksys.

Trying to hook verizon UM150 card to verizon wireless DSL Gateway

the UM150 wireless card goes into the computer.
however, the DSL need to be wired to your computer for initial configuration.
if you just hook up the DSL as verizon say, then you will have a open wireless network, anybody can get access to your network.

Ps3 online

Dial up is NOT recommended. I honestly do not think it would even work. DSL and broadband work great. If you get DSL or broadband you would need your original ethernet cord and hook up the PS3 from your router. If you go wireless then you would need a wireless router.
I hope this helps. Good luck.
