Question about Kenmore 24 in. 15079 Built-in Dishwasher
I would call a repairman or just cut out the bad spot in the wire and use a **** connector and splice in some new wire. Maybe a new connector because it may have been caused by a loose connection drawing heat due to arching. I doubt its a major issue however it may be worth it to call a repairman just in case because it could potentially be a fire hazard. It may even be a recall on the dishwasher I would check your model number through MFG to see if there were any recalls.
Hope this helps _MJ_

Hi friend, thank you for your post!
I understand that your Frigidaire dishwasher is giving off an electric burning smell and you are seeing smoke coming out of the door vent. It could possibly be an issue with your control panel or door vent, both have electrical components inside of them. Since it could be either one of these underlying issues I would recommend having a technician come out to your home and diagnose and repair the dishwasher. Hope this helps. -Matt
