Hello I have a belkin router model # F5D7230-4V9000 with serial # 140849R7901012 having IP address of 192.168.2.1 . I am trying to connect a DL wireless camera Model # DSC-920 but it connect and shows...

Step 1 : Connect Router - Computer ( Wired)

Step 2 : Open Router Setup by typing http://192.168.2.1 on the address bar of internet explorer

step 3 :click on firewall disable the firewall

step 4 :click dmz - >type in private ip 192.168.2.25

step 5:click on virtual server type description camera inbound port 0 and type tcp&UDP or Both and private IP is 192.168.2.25 and private Port 65535

( Or )

In order to configure this, you need to know:

- The IP address of the computer or device to have the port forwarded to.

- The port numbers to be used and whether these are TCP or UDP ports

(Note: We recommend you use a computer that has a wired connection to the router.)

Setup steps:

  1. Open a Web Browser on the computer. Type in http://192.168.2.1
  2. In the address bar of the Web Browser type Click Login in the upper right hand corner of the page. The router does not ship with a password, so just click submit.

Router was working on a wireless computer. The next day it wouldnt connect. Tried putting in password still nothing.

I recommend either resetting the router, (little pin size button on back) or what most people do is unplug for 10 seconds and plug it back in. They tend to build up a static charge.

Local access only.

You need to configure the router for internet access. If you are on Cable ISP, you need to do MAC Cloning. If you are on DSL ISP, you need to configure the router for PPPoE. Normally, the router's setup CD can guide on how to do it.

Hi never ever disable nat on your router as that is the one which gives ip address to computer , x-box etc. You can make your x-box live work by just opening some ports
1. open rsp by typing in 192.168.2.1
2. On the left hand side under firewall you"ll find virtual servers
3. Click on that --- You"ll find some fields then check on enable for 1,2,3(ie three rows)
4.Description - x-box for all three
5.Inbound Port: 88-88 ,connection type : udp ,private port : 88-88 for the first row
6. Inbound port : 3074-3074 , connection type : udp , private port : 3074-3074 for second row
7. Inbound Port : 3074-3074 ,connection type : tcp , private port : 3074-3074
8. As FOR the private ip address it is that of your x-box which you can find on the dash board of your x-box . Same for all three rows .
9. Best of luck And do rate me

Hey desperate help

it only hands out private ip addresses. they typically start with 192.168.x.x.

in the setup of router make sure and change all default values for Administration (router username/password) and also change the default IP Address of router to whatever you like, e.g router ip can be 192.168.1 - 249.1

Paradyne 6218-12-200 won't connect all computers

A public IP address is usually assigned to the WAN port (outside/public side), which is how your router is conected to your Internet provider service.

A private IP is always assigned to the private network side (LAN = Inside). Unless you are hard coding your IP addressing on each of your devices, you will need to have DHCP enabled in your router with enough user IPs for your devices (more than 1).

How do I get rid of the router using an automatic private address which keeps disconnecting?

the router will give you a private address , that is the functionality of the router, the problem is not with your connection, try to upgrade the latest firmware inthe router and reconfig the router in a pppoe mode that will fix your problem..
