First thing will be to download or update the driver. You can get it for free on manufacture's website and sometimes other sites as well. Then after it is dowloaded, then double-click on the file so it installs into your registry. After it installs itself, restart pc, then next thing to do is to start you picture program, then turn on camera, and lastly connect it with your usb cable. It will also be a good idea to install or update your quicktime player if you are transfering any type of video files. This should be all you need to do. The drivers is what lets the pc find your camera and connect it.
The wire is called the USB cable..
If this is a first time installation ( or a reinstallation ( it worked before but now doesn't) Uninstall the software.
DO NOT ATTACH camera to USB when reinstalling software.
Complete the installation fully.
Then plug USB cable to ( REAR) of machine rather than a USB at the front ( if desktop type) Now attach the camera. The unit should now be discovered and installation completed. If this does not rectify the problem, obtain a new USB cable as it may be faulty

Hi, thanks for your quick comment but I did all that, nothing works. My computer is a laptop and I tried all the USB ports, I made sure I uninstalled and reinstalled, restarted the machine. Made sure my camera was not connected, different USB ports etc. It worked barely a week ago so I can't undestand what went wrong as I don't think I have changed anything.
When I plug the camera into the USB port, the computer makes a same tune it always makes when I plug in any device, but when I try to use Zoombrowser/Camera Window (or even Explorer), the programs can't recongise the device. Very strange.
Do you have any other ideas or suggestions?
Thanks and regards
