SOURCE: when you just run the lower drawer the upper fills

This looks like some problem in the draining system. Not sure if you are doing a new installation or the problem has just cropped up in a running unit.

The unit is very sensitive to the height at which you are draining out. Check the U splitter drain adapted is placed at the right location as shown in installation manual. If one unit does not get enough head to drain out it, the water could find a way back into the other unit through the U splitter.

Why is the swing arm that is under the upper drawer not getting any water?

The pump may have failed, or the pump intake (under the lower drawer) may be clogged with crud from years of washing dishes. It can be removed for cleaning, although it's not a super-simple job.

Top draw does not seal . have already replaced once but cant remember where to get part or what it is called

Hello,
The most typical problem with your dishwasher is going to the lid seal motors that raise and lower the seal.thegear on it gets stripped and it slips so lid doesn't fully close on the side where motor is bad, their is 2 motors one on left and one on the right if advisable to replace both of them. By pulling the pins on drawer sides and removing front panel, then releasing the tabs on drawer slide the drawer will come out so you can also inspect the seal for rips of tears in the rubber on it but,i found 50 motors to be the problem for every seal thats bad. To replace the motors on the upper drawer the lower drawer must also be removed so the wiring to the upper drawer lid motors can be connected to the control board in the back behind the lower drawer.

Good luck.

Have a rental property with F&P two draw dishwasher aprox five years old. Apparently bottom draw is holding water - what do you think?

Could be many reasons for the bottom drawer to hold water.

It could be leaky top drawer causing water to collect in the bottom drawer. Check if water collects when top drawer is running.

It could be blockage in the bottom drawer drainage which can be fixed by cleaning the filter plate and the drain sump. If the drain pump is not running during drain cycle then you will have to replace the drain pump motor.

The upper and lower dish drawers leaves a puddle of water under each (maybe 6" in diameter) after the shortest cycle. There is a small amout of water left in the clear protective housing on the underside...

The drawers slide on a pair of rails on each side of the housing.

see installation manual page 7 to find out what you need to do to get the drawers out. The instructions are for an older model but it should be similar setup for your model.

F p dishdraw f1 code when using top draw

most likely its the upper and lower lid motors, fisher and paykels poor drain hose is the main cause for these problems its a Y shaped connector and when the both drawers are being used the water rushes into it self and causes it to back up which in case causes these error codes

F1 alarm keep coming back on both drawer

I just had the same issue as a result of "mother-in-law" using regular liquid dish detergent in both drawers. After numberous attempts of cleaning out each drawer it still was beeping and attempting to drain both drawers even when the water was drained it continue to run and beep.
My presumption of what occurred is the wrong soup caused so much suds that it triggered the flood sensor. I removed both drawers and discovered water in the base area and moisture throughout. After disconnecting the power to the unit I removed the white plastic cover and exposed the small circuit board. I disconnected the power leads and the screw holding the board in place and lifted it up a bit. I then used a hair dryer for about 15 minutes until the entire area was dry and put it back together and has worked just fine. You will see a service diagram taped to the back pannel when you remove the bottom drawer. It has additional information on various error codes and the instructions on how to trouble shoot problems. I would also remind you to run water in the units if the cause was due to the wrong type of soap as the residue will continue to recreate the same problem.

I hope this helps.

Flood switch

I had the same problem and I fixed mine. It wasn't hard at all. First, make sure power is off either unplug or shut off breaker. Next, open the lower drawer and on the sides toward the bottom you will see a circular recessed pin with a flat slot. Without forcing, wiggle the door down. When you get it off you have to remove the wire harness, just unplug it. Now, on the sides at the bottom, you will see where the drawer fits on the slid rail. Push the plastic button slightly to release the lock for the slid rail to the drawer and push the slid rail all the way back as to release the drawer fronm the rail. Be carefull when you release one side as to hold it up still while removing the other one. Now, flip the drawer on its side and try to get it as far out of the way as possible to the right of the unit. You will now notice a plastic cover at the back left of the unit. This is where the flood swith is. Remove this cover by sliding to the right. The will be water under the circuit board you see. Soak up as much as possible and you can use a hair dryer to get the tough spots. Now try to find the resson for the water. I had a mouse living under mine. Look for a break in one of the hoses. After all dried up turn power back in before reinstalling lower drawer. If dried properly, the dishwasher should stop beep beep beeping. Now turn water back on and run upper drawer. Inspect hoses again. 50/50 chance. If now water, reinstall lower by replacing plastic cover, place drawer on rails and slide all the way back. It should click back in if on rails correctly. Now install the door face, line up tabs into drawer, and slide up. Align holes for recessed circular pins and just push them in. Test lower. Thats all I got, Hope it helps.

Softner still in the draw

The detergent/softner dispenser is located above the detergent drawer. A water pipe is connected to it and water entrance and distribution to drawer's cells (following the programmed cycle)are done by a lever's movement (part of the dispenser). The lever movement is controlled by two solenoids that received their power from the timer. By opening upper machine's cover you will have an access to the dispenser. Disconnect the power cable from the machine before moving to next step !!!! Look first that they are not any disconnected wires. Move manually dispenser's lever and see if water running to all cells (depend on your movement). In case it doesn't work properly remove the unit from the machine and try to clean it (I hope it will help, otherwise you should replace the unit). In case it works properly (manually) - you should test with a multi-tester solenoid's resistance. the one that doesn't have a resistance measurement should be replaced. Good luck !!
