Question about Linksys WRT54G2 Wireless Router

Not getting the internet through my router anymore

I connected my WRT54G2 router six months ago and it worked just fine. Then about two weeks ago I started having connection to the internet problems, I was losing my connection. I tried everything including calling my internet provider and everything was fine but I still had the connection problem. So I disconnected the router and the problem was resolved. As long as I didn't connect the router I had a connection. My thought was to uninstall the router and reinstall. I have had no luck doing that. I am lost!

Sounds as though you router has "spat the dummy". Spontaneous failures such as this generally indicate faulty electronics. The ONLY way to prove is try on another machine see if fault follows you.

Hi, I have a Linksys WRT56G2 V1 Wireless Router that worked just fine until 2-3 days ago... Now when I plug it in the power light is off, the internet light is on, the wireless light is off, and the 4...

1. the power supply to the unit has a malfunction.
the power light should be green to say that the unit is getting proper voltage if you see no light then the power supply is probably not working
If router is under warranty has manufacturer send a new one to you.
2. Try unplugging the router first for 30 second to a minute to see if your unit will restore if not a new unit is needed.

Linksys WRT54G2 Wireless router unable to connect to Internet

Try again by Disabling the WEP (or WPA), MAC Address Filtering and Firewall Setting Individually. Should be a problem with one of those. Then when you receive the Signals, try to Adjust using Bottom Up method. That means one setting at a time, Hardening the Security. Have you checked your DNS settings? Have you checked the Channels you are using? Re check them and try again.

TEW432-BRP Trendnet wireless broadband router wont connect

Sounds like you need to configure the PC's USB wireless adaptor. The settings must be the same as the router. If you use a WEP password on the other connections then you need to have the same password on the USB wireless adaptor. Good Luck.

Connection problem

You can try to hard reset the router and update the firmware. Follow the steps below.

1. Download the latest firmware of the router from Linksys website. Save it on your computer.
2. Hard reset the router. Press the reset button at the back of the router for about 30 seconds, unplug the power for 20 seconds then plug it back in.
3. Connect your PC to port 1 of the router and access the router's setup page http://192.168.1.1 no username and admin for the password
4. Go to Administration tab > Firmware Upgrade sub tab.
5. Click Browse button and browse for the firmware file that you have downloaded from Linksys site. (.bin file extension)

After the upgrade, do a hard reset again. Repeat Step 2. Then you can reconfigure the wireless settings again.
Hope that helps.

Http://192.168.1.1 is not working anymore? i cant set up the router

so you can access the internet by getting connected by LAN cable. so now try to open the router by its default ip and look for the wireless securities setting and reconfigure them properly and if you are not able to access the router than there is reset button which reset the router to company default. and once you have reset the router than you have to configure it again as per your requirement.

I know nothing about this type of router. Try pressing the button on the bottom and rebooting your router. Maybe that will help.
